Abstract
Dalam praktiknya pengembangan ekonomi lokal (PEL) di Indonesia masih tergolong minim dan sangat terbatas, sehingga membutuhkan kebijakan dan strategi baru seperti ekonomi kreatif. Kajian ini menganalisis pengaruh ekonomi kreatif yang direpresentasikan oleh konsentrasi kelas kreatif dan faktor pendukungnya terhadap perkembangan ekonomi lokal. Dengan menggunakan data panel Statistik Barekref / BPS tahun 2011-2015, diperoleh hasil bahwa konsentrasi kelas pekerja kreatif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perkembangan ekonomi daerah termasuk faktor pendukung seperti proporsi lulusan berpendidikan tinggi, rasio elektrifikasi dan rasio cakupan Internet. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kelas pekerja kreatif dapat mendorong tumbuhnya pembangunan ekonomi lokal di suatu daerah. Kebijakan positif yang mendorong tumbuhnya kelas kerja kreatif diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pengembangan ekonomi lokal di Indonesia.
English Abstract
Local economic development in Indonesia is still, in fact, minimum and very limited, so it requires new policies and strategies, for example creative economy. This study analyzes the effect of creative economy, that is represented by concentration of creative worker class and its supporting factors, on the development of local economy. Using the panel data of Bekraf Statistics and Indonesia Statistics of 2011-2015, this study finds that the concentration of creative worker class significantly affects the development of local economy, which includes supporting factors such as the proportion of higher education graduates, electrification ratio, and internet coverage ratio. The findings indicate that creative worker class can encourage the growth of local economy in certain areas. Therefore, positive policies that support the increase of creative worker class are required to enhance the development of local economy in Indonesia
