Abstract
Penelitian menguraikan konsep manajemen operasional yang berkaitan dengan operational performance dan konsep RBV yang dikaitkan dengan modal intelektual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis sebuah model hubungan antara modal intelektual dengan kinerja operasional perusahaan yang direfleksikan di dalam tiga independent variable yaitu human capital, structural capital dan social capital. Penelitian ini juga menguji dan menganalisis peran mediasi innovation capability pada modal intelektual terhadap kinerja operasional perusahaan. Penelitian dilakukan pada industri pertahanan Indonesia di PT. Pindad (Persero) dengan populasi penelitian adalah 53 subdepartemen produksi yang diwakili oleh junior manager dan group leader yang bekerja di fungsi produksi sejumlah 214 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah probability sampling dengan jenis stratified random sampling sehingga didapatkan sampel sejumlah 142 responden. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan pendekatan Partial Least Square (PLS) menggunakan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa human capital, structural capital dan social capital berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja operasional perusahaan. Hasil uji mediasi juga menunjukkan bahwa innovation capability mampu memediasi baik human capital, structural capital maupun social capital terhadap kinerja operasional perusahaan. Oleh karena itu, apabila perusahaan mampu meningkatkan modal manusia, modal structural dan modal social yang dimiliki, maka kinerja operasional perusahaan juga akan semakin meningkat.
English Abstract
This research explains an operational management concept related to operational performance and RBV concept related to intellectual capital. The objective of this research is to assess and analyze a relationship model between intellectual capital and form operational performance reflected in three independent variables: human capital, structural capital, and social capital. This study also examines and analyzes the mediating role of innovation capability in the effect of intellectual capital on firm operational performance. This research was conducted in Indonesia’s defense industry, i.e. PT. Pindad (Persero). The population are 53 sub-production departments represented by 214 junior managers and group leaders working in production functions. Using probability sampling method and stratified random sampling technique, 142 people were selected as the respondents. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares approach, performed in SmartPLS 3.0. This study finds that human capital, structural capital, and social capital positively and significantly affect firm operational performance. The result of the mediation test indicates that innovation capability mediates the effects of human capital, structural capital, and social capital on firm operational performance. Therefore, if a company is able to improve its human capital, structural capital, and social capital, its operational performance will increase
