Abstract
Museum merupakan fasilitas publik yang menyimpan banyak benda bersejarah. Di seluruh dunia termasuk Indonesia, museum juga dimanfaatkan sebagai lokasi wisata edukatif. Walaupun edukatif karena banyak mengandung pengetahuan sejarah, nyatanya museum menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata yang kurang diminati. Apalagi dalam masa pandemi Covid-19 seperti sekarang. Karena itu, pengelola museum Indonesia harus gencar memromosikan wisata museumnya. Promosi wisata museum dengan daya tarik akhirnya menjadi resiliensi suatu museum untuk menjaga eksistensinya. Salah satu teknik promosi wisata museum yang dilakukan adalah lewat media online. Oleh karena itu, rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pola resiliensi dan daya tarik museum sebelum dan selama pandemi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi media massa dan digital serta wawancara terhadap informan secara langsung maupun secara daring. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa museum Indonesia terbagi atas dua jenis pengelolaan. Museum pemerintah dan museum swasta. Selama pandemi Covid-19, kedua jenis museum ini sama-sama melakukan promosi. Museum pemerintah melakukan promosi wisata guna mempertahankan eksistensinya. Museum swasta melakukan promosi wisata tidak hanya mempertahankan eksistensi, tetapi sebagai sumber pemasukan bagi museum swasta. Daya tarik museum pemerintah juga lebih kearah edukasi ilmu sejarah. Sedangkan daya tarik museum swasta lebih kearah hiburan dibanding edukasi.
English Abstract
A museum is a public facility that stores a lot historical objects. All over the world including in Indonesia, museum are also used as educational tourist sites. Even though it’s educational because it contains a lot of historical knowledge, museums are one of the less attractive tourist destination. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic like now. Therefore, the management of the Indonesian museum must aggressively promote museum tourism. The promotion of museum tourism with attractiveness eventually becomes the resilience of a museum to maintain its existence. One technique for promoting museum tourism is through online media. Therefore, the formulation of the research problem is how the pattern of resilience and attractiveness of museums before and during the pandemic. The research method used is an observation of mass and digital media as well as direct and online interviews with informants. The results of this study indicate that the Indonesia museums is divided into two types of management. Government museum and private museum. During the covid-19 pandemic, these two types of museums carried out promotions. Government museum carry out tourism promotions to maintain their existence. Private museum carry out tourism promotions not only to maintain existence but as a source of income. The attractiveness of government museum is also more toward historical education. Meanwhile the attractiveness of private museum is more towards entertainment than education.
