Abstract
Perkembangan zaman memicu perkembangan ekonomi dan pembangunan di segala sektor, salah satunya ialah sektor industri beton. Industri beton pracetak Indonesia semakin berkembang pesat di tengah maraknya proyek-proyek pembangunan berbagai infrastruktur dan gedung yang tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Selain itu, produksi akan berbagai produk beton pracetak juga semakin banyak dihasilkan guna menyokong dan menyuplai kebutuhan beragam pembangunan, seperti jalan raya, jembatan, gedung, ataupun tiang penunjang bangunan. Akan tetapi, banyaknya produksi beton pracetak yang ada juga menimbulkan dampak negatif, yaitu dihasilkannya air limbah hasil produksi beton pracetak yang mengandung zat-zat merugikan dan berbahaya terhadap lingkungan, badan air, bahkan kesehatan masyarakat bila dibuang sembarangan, tanpa melalui proses pengolahan terlebih dahulu. Pabrik industri beton yang berlokasi di kabupaten Purwakarta, Jawa Barat merupakan salah satu pabrik pemasok berbagai produk beton pracetak untuk kebutuhan berbagai infrastruktur di berbagai wilayah, baik proyek skala kecil maupun skala besar. Produksi beton pada pabrik industri beton Purwakarta, Jawa Barat ini juga menimbulkan hasil samping berupa air limbah yang kualitas airnya dapat mencemari badan air serta lingkungan serta melebihi standar baku mutu air limbah berdasarkan Peraturan Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan No. 5 Tahun 2014 Lampiran XLVII (ke-47) Halaman 81 tentang baku mutu air limbah bagi usaha dan/atau kegiatan yang belum memiliki baku mutu air limbah yang ditetapkan. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai perancangan alternatif pengolahan unit-unit dalam Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) yang dapat menjadi rekomendasi untuk industri beton Purwakarta, Jawa Barat. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui penelitian ini adalah jumlah debit air limbah produksi beton yang dihasilkan oleh pabrik Industri Beton Purwakarta, jawa Barat sebesar 81,496 m3/hari. Sementara itu, untuk hasil pengujian kualitas air limbah produksi beton didapatkan untuk parameter TSS sebesar 1538 mg/L, parameter TDS sebesar 4490 mg/L, parameter pH sebesar 11,3, dan parameter suhu sebesar 37,2° C. Hasil pengujian kualitas air limbah tersebut tidak memenuhi standar baku mutu berdasarkan Peraturan Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan No. 5 Tahun 2014 Lampiran XLVII (ke-47) Halaman 81 tentang baku mutu air limbah bagi usaha dan/atau kegiatan yang belum memiliki baku mutu air limbah yang ditetapkan sehingga air limbah tersebut harus melalui rangkaian unit pengolahan di antaranya bak ekualisasi, saluran screening, tangki pengendapan I, tangki netralisasi, bak elektrokoagulasi, bak pengendap II, bak kontrol, dan sludge drying bed yang di dalamnya terdapat proses screening, pemisahan, pengendapan, dan netralisasi.
English Abstract
The times have triggered developments in all sectors, one of which is the concrete industry sector. Indonesia's precast concrete industry is growing rapidly amidst the proliferation of various infrastructure and building development projects spread throughout Indonesia. In addition, the production of various precast concrete products is also increasingly being produced to support and supply the needs of various developments, such as roads, bridges, buildings, or building support poles. However, the large number of existing precast concrete production also has a negative impact, namely the production of waste water from precast concrete production which contains harmful and harmful substances to the environment, water bodies, and even public health if disposed of carelessly, without going through a processing process first. The concrete industrial plant located in Purwakarta district, West Java is one of the factories that supply various precast concrete products for the needs of various infrastructures in various regions, both small- and large-scale projects. Concrete production at the Purwakarta concrete industry, West Java also causes by-products in the form of wastewater whose water quality can pollute water bodies and the environment and exceeds wastewater quality standards based on Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation Number 5 of 2014 Attachment XLVII, Page 81 regarding wastewater quality standards for businesses and/or activities that do not yet have established wastewater quality standards. This study discusses the design of alternative processing units in the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) which can be a recommendation for the concrete industry in Purwakarta, West Java. The results obtained through this study are the amount of wastewater discharge from concrete production produced by the Purwakarta Concrete Industry factory, West Java, which is 81,496 m3 wastewater per day. Meanwhile, the results of testing the quality of wastewater for concrete production were obtained for the TSS parameter of 1538 mg/L, the TDS parameter of 4490 mg/L, the pH parameter of 11,3, and the temperature parameter of 37,2° C. The results of the wastewater quality test did not meet quality standards based on the Regulation of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Number 5 of 2014 Attachment XLVII (47th) Page 81 concerning the quality standards of wastewater for businesses and/or activities that do not yet have established wastewater quality standards so that the wastewater must go through a series of The processing units include a equalization, screening, primary sedimentation tank, neutralization tank, electrocoagulation, secondary sedimentation, control tank, and sludge drying bed in which there are screening, neutralization, and sedimentation processes.
