Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran integrasi rantai pasok (IRP) sebagai pemediasi pengaruh orientasi inovasi (OI) dan kemampuan pemasaran (KP) terhadap kinerja operasional (KOP). Studi ini dilakukan pada industri strategis pertahanan di Indonesia. Model penelitian didasarkan pada resource base view (RBV) dan dynamic capabilities view (DCV), dengan konsep pendekatan menggunakan sumber daya, kemampuan dan supply chain operations research (SCOR) sebagai penentu dalam meningkatkan kinerja operasional dalam penelitian bidang strategic operations management (SOM). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei. Data primer dan sekunder diperoleh menggunakan kuesioner dan dari beberapa sumber. Data primer mencakup persepsi responden terhadap poin-poin pernyataan padakuesioner (menggunakan skala Likert 1-5). Melalui sensus terhadap 41 perusahaan, diperoleh 33 perusahaan yang berpartisi memberikan kontribusi, yang tergolong dalam perusahaan yang memproduksi alat peralatan pertahanan keamanan (Alpahankam) kelompok industri strategis pertahanan (ISP) di Indonesia. Tahap dan proses analisis data menggunakan SPSS Versi 24 untuk validitas dan reliabilitas instrument penelitian dan analisis deskriptif, kemudian Warp PLS Versi 7.0 yang mengaplikasikan metoda analisis jalur (path analysis), partial least square yang merupakan variance based - structural equation modelling untuk melakukan analisis inferensial dan mengetahui pengaruh antara variabel dan hasil hipotesis. Temuan hasil menunjukkan bahwa, 1) OI tidak berdampak signifikan terhadap KOP; 2) kemampuan pemasaran tidak berdampak signifikan terhadap KOP; 3) anteseden orientasi inovasi signifikan dan positif terhadap IRP; 4) anteseden kemampuan pemasaran signifikan dan positif terhadap IRP; 5) IRP berdampak positif dan signifikan terhadap KOP; 6) OI secara positif dan signifikan meningkatkan KOP melalui IRP; 7) kemampuan pemasaran secara positif dan signifikan meningkatkan KOP melalui IRP. Anteseden OI dan KP mendukung peran IRP sebagai mediasi terhadap peningkatan KOP adalah kebaruan penelitian. Model manajemen sumber daya, kemampuan dan operasi rantai pasok mendukung peningkatan KOP. Strategic operations model peran integrasi rantai pasok dapat meningkatkan kinerja operasional dengan anteseden orientasi inovasi (strategic orientation) dan kemampuan pemasaran (strategic marketing).
English Abstract
The objective of this research is to explain the mediating role of supply chain integration in the effects of innovation orientation and marketing capability on the operational performance of Indonesia’s defense strategic industry. The research model is based on the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities View (DCV), while resources, capabilities, and Supply Chain Operation Reference model (SCOR) are the determiners for improved operational performance in the area of Strategic Operations Management. This research uses primary data obtained from a survey through questionnaires and secondary data gathered from various sources. The former data contains the perceptions of respondents about statement points included in the five-point Likert- scaled questionnaires. From 41 companies selected using census technique, 33 participated; all of them are producers of defense and security equipment in the group of defense strategic industry in Indonesia. The validity and the reliability of the research instrument were assessed using descriptive analysis performed in SPSS 24. The path and the Partial Least Squares analyses, i.e. the variance- based structural equation modeling, were used to conduct inferential analysis, to identify the relationship between variables, and to assess the hypotheses; all of which were performed in WarpPLS 7.0. This study finds that (1) innovation orientation does not significantly affect operational performance, (2) marketing capability does not significantly influence operational performance, (3) innovation orientation have positive and significant effects on supply chain integration, (4) marketing capability positively and significantly influences supply chain integration, (5) supply chain integration positively and significantly affects operational performance, (6) innovation orientation have significant and positive effects on operational performance through supply chain integration, and (7) marketing capability positively and significantly influences operational performance through supply chain integration. The novelty of this research is the finding that innovation orientation and marketing capability supports the mediating role of supply chain integration in enhancing operational performance. Furthermore, resource management model, capability, and supply chain integration support operational performance enhancement. The Strategic Operations Model in the form of supply chain integration increases operational performance with innovation orientation and marketing capability as the antecedents.
