Abstract

Industri semen merupakan salah satu sektor ekonomi besar yang menyumbang dampak lingkungan signifikan. Dengan adanya hal tersebut, maka kewajiban pelaku usaha/ industri dalam mengelola dampak lingkungan perlu penanganan serius. Adanya upaya pemerintah yang didorong dengan ketaatan stakeholders dalam memaksimalkan upaya pengurangan beban dampak lingkungan dilalui berdasarkan pemenuhan kriteria pada PROPER (Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan dalam Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup). Life Cycle Assessment hadir sebagai bagian dari penilaian proper dan juga upaya untuk mengidentifikasi besaran dampak yang dihasilkan dari seluruh kegiatan proses produksi. Penelitian ini membahas terkait kajian dampak lingkungan dari PT Semen XY Pabrik di Tuban dengan menggunakan metode Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) pada software SimaPro. Ruang lingkup LCA yang diidentifikasi adalah Cradle to Gate pada seluruh proses produksi dimulai dari kegiatan penambangan sampai pangemasan produk. Kategori dampak lingkungan yang dikaji disesuaikan dengan kriteria dampak lingkungan pada penilaian Proper sesuai Permen LHK No.1 Tahun 2021. Kajian ini menggunakan metode penilaian dampak berupa ReCipe 2016, CML-IA, dan Cumulative Energy Demand. Potensi dampak terbesar (hospot) antara lain: metode ReCiPe 2016 Midpoint (Terrestrial Ecotoxicity dan Global Warming Potential), CML-IA Baseline (Abiotic depletion-fossil fuels), dan Cumulative Energy Demand, serta unit proses produksi penyumbang hospot terletak pada Kiln cooler. Rekomendasi program perbaikan berupa efisiensi penggunaan energi listrik, optimalisasi pengangkutan material di penambangan, optimalisasi penggunaan bahan bakar alternatif dan material, serta optimalisasi penggunaan dust collector dan evaluasi kinerja alat Electrostatic precipitator sebagai upaya penurunan beban emisi.

English Abstract

The cement industry is one of the major economic sectors that contributes significantly to the environmental impact. With this in mind, the obligations of business/industry actors in managing environmental impacts need serious handling. The government's efforts that are driven by the obedience of stakeholders in maximizing efforts to reduce the burden of environmental impacts are carried out based on the fulfillment of the criteria in the PROPER (Company Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management). The Life Cycle Assessment is present as part of the proper assessment and is also an effort to identify the magnitude of the impact resulting from all production process activities. This study discusses the environmental impact study of PT Semen XY Factory in Tuban using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method on SimaPro software. The identified scope of LCA is Cradle to Gate in the entire production process starting from mining activities to product packaging. The environmental impact categories studied are adjusted to the environmental impact criteria in the Proper assessment according to the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No.1 Year 2021. This study uses impact assessment methods in the form of ReCipe 2016, CML-IA, and Cumulative Energy Demand. The biggest potential impacts (hospots) include: ReCiPe 2016 Midpoint method (Terrestrial Ecotoxicity and Global Warming Potential), CML-IA Baseline (Abiotic depletion-fossil fuels), and Cumulative Energy Demand, as well as the production process unit that contributes to the hotspot is located in the Kiln cooler. Recommendations for improvement programs are in the form of efficiency in the use of electrical energy, optimization of material transportation in mining, optimization of the use of alternative fuels and materials, as well as optimization of the use of dust collectors and evaluation of the performance of Electrostatic precipitators as an effort to reduce emission loads.
