Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motif konsumen dalam melakukan pembelian sepeda di masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian eksplanasi yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan kausalitas antar dua fenomena atau antar variabel. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat tiga variabel independen, yakni bandwagon effect, veblen effect, dan pendapatan, serta satu variabel dependen, yaitu keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 76 responden dengan kritera sudah diatas 17 tahun dan melakukan pembelian sepeda di masa pandemi Covid-19 melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara daring. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 25 dan metode pengujian regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel bandwagon effect dan veblen effect memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepeda di masa pandemi Covid-19. Sedangkan variabel pendapatan, tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian sepeda di masa pandemi Covid-19

English Abstract

This study aims to determine consumer motives for buying bicycles during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is an explanatory research that aims to examine the causal relationship between two phenomena or between variables. In this study, there are three independent variables, that is the bandwagon effect, veblen effect, and income, as well as one dependent variable, namely purchasing decisions. This study used a sample of 76 respondents with the criteria of being over 17 years old and purchasing bicycles during the Covid-19 pandemic through the distribution of online questionnaires. Data analysis using SPSS 25 application and multiple linear regression testing method. The results of the study show that the bandwagon effect and veblen effect variables have a significant influence on bicycle purchasing decisions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the income variable does not have a significant influence on the decision to purchase a bicycle during the Covid-19 pandemic.
