Abstract

Salah satu peran penting kewirausahaan adalah efek Schumpeter, dimana peningkatan jumlah wirausaha dapat mengurangi jumlah pengangguran. Namun, berdasarkan data BPS, rata-rata peningkatan jumlah pengusaha dinilai tidak sebanding dengan peningkatan jumlah pengangguran. Solusi alternatif masalah ini adalah melalui Pendidikan Kewirausahaan, khususnya di perguruan tinggi. Namun, Pendidikan Kewirausahaan di perguruan tinggi belum mampu memberikan hasil yang diharapkan. Mathews (2017) dan Bazan et al., (2020) berpendapat bahwa minat wirausaha dianggap sebagai prediktor terkuat dalam mengukur keberhasilan pendidikan kewirausahaan. Untuk mengetahui minat wirausaha seseorang, ada beberapa teori yang dapat digunakan, salah satunya yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Entrepreneurial Event Model oleh Shapero dan Sokol pada tahun 1982. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui minat kewirausahaan mahasiwa berdasarkan Model Entrepreneurial Event, 2) mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan minat wirausaha antara mahasiswa tahun pertama dan mahasiswa tahun terakhir, serta 3) menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap minat kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif. Dilakukan pada bulan April 2022 dengan mengambil sampel sebanyak 305 mahasiswa dari Program Studi Agribisnis Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya Malang. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Quota Sampling dengan pengumpulan data survei daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling dan analisis Mann-Whitney U Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa minat kewirausahaan mahasiswa PS Agribisnis FP UB Malang melalui Model Entrepreneurial Event berdasarkan nilai R2 termasuk tinggi. Berdasarkan uji Mann-Whitney, tidak ditemukan adanya perbedaan minat wirausaha antara mahasiswa tingkat akhir dengan mahasiswa vii tingkat awal. Mengacu pada analisis SEM-PLS yang telah dilakukan, Pendidikan Kewirausahaan secara langsung memiliki sifat positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap Minat Wirausaha mahasiswa Agribisnis FP UB. Kemudian terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan atau full mediation effect pada Pendidikan Kewirausahaan melalui Perceived Desirability dan Perceived Feasibility terhadap Minat Wirausaha mahasiswa Agribisnis FP UB. Sedangkan untuk hubungan Pendidikan Kewirausahaan yang dimediasi oleh Propensity to Act terhadap Minat Wirausaha mahasiswa Agribisnis FP UB bersifat positif namun tidak signifikan atau non mediation effect. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, penelitian ini menyarankan 1) mendorong Program Student-in-Residence, 2) menciptakan layanan konsultasi untuk usaha kecil dan bisnis nirlaba, dan 3) membina Program Pertukaran Global

English Abstract

One of the important roles of entrepreneurship is the Schumpeter effect, where an increase in the number of entrepreneurs can reduce the number of unemployed. Based on BPS data, the average increase in the number of entrepreneurs is considered not proportional to the increase in the number of unemployed. The alternative solution to this problem is through Entrepreneurship Education, especially in universities. However, Entrepreneurship Education in colleges has not been able to provide the expected result. Mathews (2017) and Bazan et al., (2020) argue that Entrepreneurial Intentions are considered the strongest predictor in measuring the success of Entrepreneurship Education. To find out someone's Entrepreneurial Intentions, several theories can be used, one of which is used in this study is the Entrepreneurial Event Model (EEM) by Shapero and Sokol in 1982. Therefore, this study aims to 1) find out the Entrepreneurial Intentions of students based on the EEM, 2) find out whether there are differences in Entrepreneurial Intentions between freshman students and senior students, and 3) analyze the effect of Entrepreneurship Education on EI. This study uses a quantitative approach and descriptive analysis. It was conducted in April 2022 by taking a sample of 305 students from the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University Malang. The sampling method used is Quota Sampling with online survey data collection. This research uses Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling and Mann- Whitney U test analysis. The results showed that the Entrepreneurial Intentions of students of the Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University Malang through the EEM based on the R2 value was high. Based on the Mann- Whitney test, there was no difference in Entrepreneurial Intentions between senior students and freshman students. Referring to the PLS-SEM analysis that has been carried out, Entrepreneurship Education directly has a positive but not significant ix nature on the EI of FP UB's Agribusiness students. Then there is a positive and significant relationship or full mediation effect on Entrepreneurship Education through Perceived Desirability and Perceived Feasibility on Entrepreneurial Intentions of Agribusiness FP UB's students. Meanwhile, the relationship between Entrepreneurship Education mediated by the Propensity to Act on Entrepreneurial Intentions of Agribusiness FP UB's students is positive but not significant or has a non-mediation effect. Based on the description, this study suggests creating consulting services for small businesses and not-for-profit businesses, and fostering a global exchange program
