Abstract
Bertambahnya populasi manusia dan kepadatan penduduk berdampak pada pemanfaatan Air Mata Umbulan untuk keperluan SPAM di DAS Rejoso terutama di bagian tengah sampai hilir, karena sebagian besar debit sungai tersebut berasal dari mata air Umbulan. Oleh karenanya perlu dilakukan langkah-langkah pengelolaan serta konservasi air secara terukur, sistematis agar potensi dampak negatif dapat dikurangi dan dikendalikan. Mata Air Umbulan direncanakan sebagai salah satu mata air yang mempunyai peran strategis dalam penyediaan air minum di Jawa Timur, karena debit air yang dikeluarkan mencapai 4000 liter per detik. Sejak masa penjajahan sumber air baku untuk wilayah Kota Surabaya dan sekitarnya sebagian diambilkan dari mata air ini. Sampai saat ini PDAM Kota Surabaya mendapatkan suplai air baku dari mata air ini sebesar 110 liter per detik.
English Abstract
The increasing human population and population density have an impact on the utilization of Umbulan Springs for SPAM purposes in the Rejoso watershed, especially in the middle to downstream parts, because most of the river discharge comes from the Umbulan spring. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures for water management and conservation in a measurable, systematic way so that the potential negative impacts can be reduced and controlled. Umbulan Spring is planned as one of the springs that has a strategic role in the provision of drinking water in East Java, because the water discharge is 4000 liters per second. Since the colonial period, the raw water sources for the city of Surabaya and its surroundings are partly taken from this spring. Until now, PDAM Surabaya City has received raw water supply from this spring of 110 liters per second.
