Abstract

Pemahaman siswa SMP Negeri 1 Singosari dalam menelaah aspek kebahasaan pada teks deskripsi tergolong rendah. Hal ini ditandai dengan rendahnya nilai siswa pada ranah kognitif menelaah kalimat utama dan kalimat perinci, cerapan panca indera, kata dasar, sinonim dan hiponim, awalan, dan kata depan dalam teks deskripsi. Rendahnya ranah kognitif di atas sangat memengaruhi ranah afektif. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan menerapkan strategi Running Mission dalam menelaah aspek kebahasaan teks deskripsi. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan strategi Running Mission dalam proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menelaah aspek kebahasaan melalui penerapan strategi Running Mission. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Singosari. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes, wawancara, observasi, dan pengisian kuesioner. Tindakan dianggap mencapai target apabila keberhasilan proses pembelajaran, dan hasil pembelajaran pada aspek kognitif, dan afektif mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (80), serta persentase kelulusan mencapai 80%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, penerapan strategi Running Mission dapat meningkatkan ranah kognitif, afektif siswa. Hasil proses pembelajaran pada tahap prasiklus adalah 46, siklus 1 adalah 78, dan siklus 2 adalah 93. Artinya proses pembelajaran siswa terlaksana dengan baik. Pada aspek kognitif, pada tahap prasiklus adalah 38,7, siklus 1 adalah 68,4, dan siklus 2 adalah 88,6. Artinya siswa mampu menelaah kalimat utama dan kalimat perinci, cerapan panca indera, kata dasar, sinonim dan hiponim, awalan, dan kata depan dalam teks deskripsi. Pada aspek afektif, rata-rata tahap prasiklus adalah 48,8, siklus 1 adalah 79,6, dan siklus 2 adalah 91,8 yang artinya siswa sudah memenuhi aspek kejujuran, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, kerja keras, mandiri, dan komunikatif.

English Abstract

The understanding of the students of SMP Negeri 1 Singosari in studying the linguistic features of the descriptive text is low. This is indicated by the low score of students in the cognitive domain in examining main sentences and detailed sentences, five senses, basic words, synonyms and hyponyms, prefixes, and prepositions in descriptive texts. The low cognitive domain above greatly affects the affective domain. The solution to overcome this problem is to apply the Running Mission strategy in examining the linguistic aspects of the description text. The purpose of this research is to apply the Running Mission strategy in the learning process and to improve students' abilities in studying linguistic aspects through the implementation of the Running Mission strategy. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were all students of class VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Singosari. The research data were obtained through tests, interviews, observations, and filling out questionnaires. Actions are considered to reach the target if the success of the learning process and learning outcomes in the cognitive and affective aspects reach the Minimum Completeness Criteria (80), and the graduation percentage reaches 80%. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Running Mission strategy can improve students' cognitive and affective domains. The results of the learning process at the pre-cycle stage were 46, cycle 1 was 78, and cycle 2 was 93. This means that the student learning process was carried out well. In the cognitive aspect, the pre-cycle stage was 38.7, the first cycle was 68.4, and the second cycle was 88.6. This means that students are able to examine main sentences and detailed sentences, sensory perception, basic words, synonyms and hyponyms, prefixes, and prepositions in descriptive texts. In the affective aspect, the average pre-cycle stage is 48.8, cycle 1 is 79.6, and cycle 2 is 91.8, which means that students have fulfilled the aspects of honesty, discipline, responsibility, hard work, independence, and communicativeness.
