Indonesian language and literature education. Faculty of Cultural Studies. Brawijaya University Many changes and developments have occurred in the world of theater. The various changes that occur are caused by various factors such as technology and the presence of new entrants. In 2020, the theater again underwent a change in the form of new performances. This is due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has limited human activities. This study aims to determine the changes in the results of directing in theater performances based on the elements of drama performances. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were taken from performances conducted by Teater Lingkar before and during the pandemic. The results of the study show that the changes that occur are much influenced by the existence of new production equipment used in the staging process. This results in all elements centered on the play that will be performed, so they have to adjust the production tools used during the staging process. The existence of these new equipment makes cinematographic elements into theater performances.
