Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru memiliki peran penting untuk mewujudkan pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Namun, berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara terdapat permasalahan dalam proses pembelajaran pada kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Negeri 3 Malang yaitu pada rendahnya tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kualitas imlementasi metode pembelajaran problem based instruction terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan psikomotor siswa di kelas X TKJ pada mata pelajaran pemrograman dasar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental dengan menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Desain. Populasi pada penelitian eksperimen ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK Negeri 3 Malang Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 yang sedang menempuh mata pelajaran Pemrograman Dasar dengan jumlah keseluruhan 69 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan sampling jenuh karena semua anggota populasi menjadi sampel. Tetapi pada saat penelitian dilaksanakan terdapat eliminasi sampel dikarenakan siswa tidak hadir saat penelitian berlangsung sehingga sampel yang valid menjadi 60 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal pretest dan posttest berjumlah 10 butir soal uraian untuk mendapatkan nilai pada ranah kognitif dan praktikum yang terdapat pada jobsheet untuk mendapatkan nilai pada ranah psikomotor. Hasil analisis data pada penelitian eksperimen ini diantaranya: (1) Metode pembelajaran problem based instruction dapat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif berdasarkan adanya perbedaan nilai yang signifikan dari hasil pretest kognitif dengan posttest kognitif pada kelas eksperimen, (2) Metode pembelajaran problem based instruction dapat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada ranah psikomotorik berdasarkan adanya perbedaan nilai yang signifikan dari hasil pretest psikomotor dengan posttest psikomotor pada kelas eksperimen. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran problem based instruction dapat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif dan psikomotorik.

English Abstract

In the learning process, the teacher has an important role to realize effective and efficient learning so that learning objectives can be achieved. However, based on the results of observations and interviews there are problems in the learning process in class X Computer Engineering and Networking of State Vocational School 3 Malang, namely the low level of understanding and skills of students. This is known when only some of the students respond to questions raised by the teacher regarding the material that has been submitted. Based on these problems, this study aims to examine the effect of the quality of the implementation of problem based instruction learning methods on cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes of students in class X TKJ on basic programming subjects. The method used in this study is Quasi Experimental using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this experimental study was all students of class X Computer Engineering and Network of State Vocational School 3 Malang in 2019/2020 Academic Year who were taking Basic Programming subjects with a total of 69 students. The sampling technique in this experimental study uses saturated sampling because all members of the population are sampled. But when the study was conducted there was a sample elimination because students were not present during the study so the valid sample was 60 students. Data collection techniques are done by observation and interviews. The results of data analysis in this experimental study include: (1) The method of learning problem based instruction can affect the improvement of student learning outcomes in the cognitive realm based on the significant difference in the results of cognitive pretest with cognitive posttest in the experimental class (2) Problem based learning method instruction can affect the improvement of student learning outcomes in the psychomotor domain based on a significant difference in the value of the results of the psychomotor pretest with the psychomotor posttest in the experimental class, so it can be concluded that the application of problem based instruction learning methods can affect the improvement of student learning outcomes in the cognitive and psychomotor.
