Abstract

Ngalup Coworking Space merupakan salah satu coworking space di Kota Malang yang menggunakan website sebagai salah satu marketing channel, meningkatkan dan memudahkan customer untuk memesan ruangan. Namun konversi pengunjung yang menjadi pelanggan dinilai relatif sedikit. Hasil riset terhadap penanggung jawab website, terdapat permasalahan pada Information Architecture (IA) website. IA adalah disiplin desain yang difokuskan untuk membuat informasi yang dapat ditemukan dan dimengerti. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencari solusi bagi permasalahan IA adalah Card Sorting dengan cara memberikan pilihan pada sekelompok user untuk menentukan item produk atau fitur yang lebih diutamakan atau yang menjadi fokus utama. User yang dijadikan sebagai responden adalah 15 orang loyal customer dari Ngalup.Co. Hasil dari Card Sorting yaitu sebagian besar memilih untuk memesan ruangan pada halaman awal web, sehingga solusi dari permasalahan yang ada adalah membuat perancangan ulang peta situs dengan menambahkan form pemesanan ruangan pada homepage. Solusi tersebut divalidasi kepada responden menggunakan metode Tree Testing yang mana mengevaluasi struktur kategori hierarki dengan meminta pengguna menemukan letak navigasi tertentu yang dapat diselesaikan. Tree Testing sangat berguna sebagai tindak lanjut Card Sorting karena dapat mengevaluasi hierarki sesuai dengan kinerjanya dalam skenario dunia nyata. Hasil dari Tree Testing menyatakan bahwa sebagian besar responden setuju dengan solusi yang ditemukan.

English Abstract

Ngalup Coworking Space is one of the coworking spaces in Malang that uses a website as one of the marketing channels, increasing and making it easier for customers to book a room. However, the conversion of visitors to customers is considered relatively small. The results of research on the person in charge of the website, there are problems on the Information Architecture (IA) website. IA is a design discipline that is focused on making information discoverable and understandable. The method used to find solutions to IA problems is Card Sorting by giving a choice to a group of users to determine which product items or features are preferred or are the main focus. Users who are used as respondents are 15 loyal customers from Ngalup.Co. The result of Card Sorting is that most choose to reserve a room on the start page of the web, so the solution to the problem is to make an IA redesign by adding a room booking form to the homepage. The solution is validated to respondents using the Tree Testing method which evaluates the hierarchical category structure by asking the user to find a specific navigation location that can be resolved. Tree Testing is very useful as a follow-up to Card Sorting because it can evaluate hierarchies according to their performance in realworld scenarios. The results of Tree Testing stated that most respondents agreed with the solution found.
