Abstract
Web server merupakan penyedia yang menerima dan memberikan layanan berbasis data yang dikirimkan melalui peramban web, selanjutnya diberikan respon berupa halaman web maupun berupa dokumen HTML. Permasalahan utama yang kerap terjadi pada web server adalah tingkat ketersediaannya, permintaan mempengaruhi kinerja dari web server yang mendapatkan banyak beban sehingga web server mengalami overload maka akan menyebabkan web tersebut mengalami down. Docker stack adalah membuat beberapa layanan dapat terhubung satu sama lain dan berjalan di beberapa mesin yang terhubung. Solusi untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dengan penggunaan operating system-level virtualization yang memanfaatkan sistem cluster yang telah disediakan oleh docker swarm, docker stack digunakan untuk menjalankan image dan service web server secara multi-container yang akan disebarkan menuju ke virtual server lain. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa operating system-level virtualization mendukung mekanisme failover dan load balancing pada area docker swarm dan docker stack berperan mendistribusikan service web server dari node manager menuju node worker sebagai cadangan service web server, uji parameter rata-rata response time terendah pada failover didapatkan pada node2 dengan waktu yang diperoleh 18,90 milliseconds sedangkan pada availability melalui uji parameter request, pada 200 request sistem berhasil menerima request sebesar 80% dan menandakan bahwa sistem tidak dapat memenuhi kriteria nines pada levels of availability.
English Abstract
Web server is a provider that receives and provides data-based services that are sent through a web browser, then given a response in the form of web pages and HTML documents. The main problem that often occurs on a web server is the level of availability, demand affects the performance of the webserver which gets a lot of loads so that the webserver experiences overload, it will cause the web to go down. Docker stack is to make several services that can be connected and run on several connected machines. The solution to this is by using operating system-level virtualization that utilizes the cluster system provided by the docker swarm, the docker stack is used to run multi-container images and web server services that will be distributed to other virtual servers. The results of this study show that the operating system-level virtualization supports the failover and load balancing mechanisms in the docker swarm area and the docker stack plays a role in distributing web server services from node manager to node worker as a backup webserver service, testing the lowest average response time parameters on failover. obtained at node2 with the time obtained 18.90 milliseconds while in availability through the parameter request test, at 200 requests the system successfully received 80% requests and indicated that the system could not meet the nines criteria at levels of availability
