Abstract
Kewirausahaan menjadi perhatian besar dalam beberapa waktu terakhir karena memainkan peran kunci dalam mempercepat pembangunan ekonomi. Kewirausahaan juga sangat berperan bagi pengembangan sektor pertanian sebagai energi penggerak memperkuat daya saing produk pertanian. Wirausaha muda sangat dibutuhkan sebagai penerus guna menjaga stabilitas dan keberlanjutan wirausaha pertanian, namun jumlahnya saat ini masih rendah. Menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya kewirausahaan di masyarakat terutama generasi muda sangatlah penting, upaya tersebut dapat diimplementasikan melalui pendidikan kewirausahaan. Universitas Brawijaya mencanangkan diri sebagai University of Business dalam mempersiapkan tujuan menjadi World Class of Entrepreneurial University (WCEU) terbaik telah menerapkan upaya tersebut. Perlu diketahaui efektifitas pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap peningkatan jumlah wirausaha, namun tracer study alumni tidak bisa digunakan sebagai indikator yang valid karena tidak dapat diketahui bagaimana ketertarikan mahasiswa terhadap kewirausahaan sebelum memperoleh pendidikan kewirausaha. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap minat wirausaha serta perbedaan minat wirausaha mahasiswa tahun pertama dan senior student. Selain itu, self-efficacy atau kepercayaan seseorang terhadap kemampuan dalam dirinya digunakan sebagai variabel mediasi dalam penelitian ini. Perbedaan tingkat self-efficacy juga dibahas dalam penelitian ini. SEM-PLS dengan Warp-PLS 7.0 digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh masing-masing variabel serta Chi-Square dengan SPSS 26 digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan minat dan tingkat self- efficacy mahasiswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pendidikan kewirausahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap self-efficacy senior student, namun pengaruh tersebut belum efektif karena tingkat self-efficacy senior student yang telah memperoleh pendidikan kewirausahaan dan tingkat self-efficacy mahasiswa tahun pertama yang belum memperoleh pendidikan kewirausahaan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Pendidikan kewirausahaan belum efektif meningkatkan minat wirausaha karena pengaruhnya tidak signifikan dan dilihat dari perbedaan minat kewirausahaan antara senior student dan mahasiswa tahun pertama tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan. Self-efficacy dalam berwirausaha berperan sebagai variabel mediasi secara penuh hubungan antara pendidikan kewirausahaan dan minat wirausaha. Perbaikan program pendidikan kewirausahaan untuk meningkatkan minat wirausaha perlu dilakukan karena terbukti belum efektif.
English Abstract
Entrepreneurship has received great attention in recent times because it plays a key role in economic development. Entrepreneurship also plays a very important role in the development of the agricultural sector as energy to strengthen the competitiveness of agricultural products. Young entrepreneurs are urgently needed as successors to maintain the sustainability of agricultural entrepreneurs, but currently, they are still low. Raising awareness of entrepreneurship in society is importance, especially among the younger generation, these efforts can be implemented through entrepreneurship education. Brawijaya University has declared itself as a University of Business in preparing the goal of becoming the best World Class of Entrepreneurial University (WCEU). It is necessary to know the effectiveness of the effect of entrepreneurship education on increasing the number of entrepreneurs, but tracer study alumni cannot be used as a valid indicator because it cannot be known how interested in entrepreneurship is before obtaining entrepreneurship education. This study discusses the influence of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention and the differences in entrepreneurial intention of freshman and senior students. In addition, self-efficacy or one's belief in one's own abilities is used as a mediating variable in this study. Different levels of self-efficacy are also discussed in this study. SEM-PLS with Warp-PLS 7.0 was used to determine the effect of each variable and Chi-Square with SPSS 26 was used to determine differences in student intention and self-efficacy levels. The results of this study are entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on the self-efficacy of senior students, but this effect has not been effective because the level of self-efficacy of senior students who have received entrepreneurship education and the level of self-efficacy of freshman students who have not received entrepreneurship education is not found. significant difference. Entrepreneurship education has not been effective in increasing entrepreneurial intention because the effect is not significant and judging from the difference in entrepreneurial intention between senior and freshman students it does not show a significant difference. Self-efficacy in entrepreneurship acts as a mediating variable fully the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention. Improvement of the entrepreneurship education program to increase entrepreneurial intention needs to be done because it has been proven not to be effective.
