Abstract

Penelitian ini ingin membandingkan balok beton bertulang bambu dan balok beton bertulang baja secara eksperimental. Penekanan khusus akan diberikan pada bagaimana kedua set balok merespons momen nominal. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan balok beton bertulang bambu terhadap balok beton bertulang baja di mana bambu lebih mudah tersedia di negara-negara berkembang dibandingkan dengan batang penguat baja. Pola retak yang terjadi juga akan dibahas teermasuk penekanan dan perilaku tegang dari kedua bahan tersebut. 16 balok dengan penguat bambu dan 8 balok dengan baja akan dicor sebagai berikut; Penguatan longitudinal - Untuk balok baja, 2Ø10mm (zona kompresi), masing-masing 3Ø10mm dan 6Ø10mm (zona ketegangan). Untuk balok yang diperkuat bambu, masing-masing 2Ø8mm (zona kompresi) dan 3Ø8mm dan 6Ø8mm (zona ketegangan). Tulangan melintang-6mm @ 150mm secara seragam untuk satu set balok dan 6mm @ 300mm untuk kelompok balok lainnya. Semua tulangan melintang akan terbuat dari baja. Dari hal tersebut di atas, saya akan menggunakan tiga (3 variabel) dalam kekuatan tekan beton (20 dan 30MPa), tulangan geser dan tulangan longitudinal / lentur.

English Abstract

This research will seek to compare bamboo reinforced concrete beams and steel reinforced beams experimentally. Special emphasis will be laid on how both sets of beams respond to nominal moments. The main aim is to find out the applicability of bamboo reinforced beams against steel reinforced beams in developing countries wherein bamboo is easily available as compared to steel reinforcement bars. The behaviors in terms of crack patterns will be also discussed their stress and strain behaviors as well. 16 beams with bamboo reinforcement and 8 beams with steel will be casted as follows; Longitudinal reinforcement- For steel beams,2Ø10mm (compression zone),3Ø10mm and 6Ø10mm respectively (tension zone). For the bamboo reinforced beams,2Ø8mm (compression zone) and 3Ø8mm and 6Ø8mm respectively (tension zone). Transverse reinforcement-6mm@150mm uniformly for one set of beams and 6mm@300mm for another group of beams. All transverse reinforcement would be of steel. From the above, I will be using three (3 variables) in compressive strength (20 and 30MPa) of concrete, shear reinforcement and longitudinal/flexural reinforcement.
