Abstract

Pada tesis ini dijelaskan tentang model pemilihan moda transportasi di kota Malang dengan model Nested Logit. Model Nested Logit merupakan salah satu model tipe Regresi Logistik yang jumlah variabel tidak bebasnya lebih dari dua variabel. Keunggulan model Nested Logit adalah dapat lebih teliti dalam mengidentifikasi tingkat error nilai utilitas dibandingkan dengan model Multinomial Logit. Metode survei dilakukan menggunakan teknik Stated Preferences. Stated Preference merupakan sebuah pendekatan asumsi dengan menyampaikan beberapa situasi yang nantinya akan dipilih responden. Pengambilan jumlah sampel menggunakan metode Slovin sehingga diperoleh 200 sampel untuk dijadikan sebagai bahan penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 moda transportasi yang terdapat di kota Malang yaitu angkutan umum, sepeda motor pribadi, mobil pribadi, sepeda motor online, dan mobil online. Variabel yang digunakan sebagai atribut adalah tarif, waktu tempuh, frekuensi penggunaan, dan tingkat kenyamanan suatu moda transportasi. Variabel lainnya yang digunakan sebagai bahan penelitian adalah usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, status pernikahan, jenis pekerjaan, jumlah penghasilan per bulan, tujuan bepergian, dan jarak perjalanan. Keempat variabel yang dijadikan atribut memiliki pengaruh terhadap pemilihan moda, sedangkan yang tidak mempengaruhi adalah jenis kelamin, status pernikahan, tingkat pendidikan, tujuan bepergian, dan jarak perjalanan. Dengan menggunakan model Nested Logit, peneliti dapat mengetahui peluang responden untuk memilih masing-masing moda. Apabila responden dihadapkan pada situasi penggunaan moda transportasi hanya 1-2 kali dalam seminggu, maka peluang pemilihan moda sepeda motor online lebih besar daripada sepeda motor pribadi yaitu sebesar 0.7157. Apabila responden dihadapkan pada situasi menggunakan moda transportasi dengan frekuensi penggunaan 3-6 kali dalam seminggu maka sepeda motor pribadi lebih dipilih daripada transportasi lain dengan peluang sebesar 0.8127.

English Abstract

In this thesis, the transportation mode selection model in Malang is explained with the Nested Logit model. The Nested Logit model is one of the Logistic Regression models with more than two variables. The advantage of the Nested Logit model is that it can identify the error level of utility values more accurately than the Multinomial Logit model. The survey method is carried out using the Stated Preferences technique. Stated Preference is an assumed approach which is showed some situations it will be chosen later. Taking the number of samples used slovin method due to 200 samples as material for research. This study used 5 modes of transportation which used in Malang, namely public transportation, private motorcycle, private cars, online motorcycle, and online cars. The variables used as attributes are rates, travel time, frequency of use, and comfort level of a transportation mode. Other variables used as material for research were age, sex, education level, marital status, type of work, monthly income, travel destination, and distance of travel. The four variables used as attributes state that they have an influence on the choice of modes, while those that do not affect are gender, marital status, education level, purpose of travel, and distance of travel. By using the Nested Logit model, researcher can find out the opportunities of respondents to choose each mode. If the respondent is find out the situation of using transportation modes only 1-2 times, then the opportunity to choose a online motorcycle mode is greater than a private motorcycle which is equal to 0.7157. If the respondent is find out the situation of using transportation modes with frequency of use 3-6 times a week then the opportunity for private motorcycle is preferred over other transportation at 0.8127
