Abstract

Udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan komoditas ekspor utama yang dijadikan varietas unggulan karena memiliki tingkat produksi tinggi. Pemerintah Indonesia menargetkan produksi udang vaname dapat ditingkatkan mencapai 250% hingga tahun 2024 (DJPB, 2020). Produktivitas udang dapat ditingkatkan melalui budidaya sistem intensif dengan padat tebar tinggi. Namun, padat tebar tinggi memberikan dampak negatif terhadap laju pertumbuhan dan kualitas air. Dampak negatif tersebut dipengaruhi oleh pakan, sehingga dibutuhkan manajemen pemberian pakan yang baik untuk menunjang produksi udang yang tinggi. Automatic feeder merupakan alat pemberi pakan otomatis untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan yang optimal dan mengurangi pencemaran pada perairan budidaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di tambak Cikalong, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian berupa Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 3 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan observasi atau pengamatan langsung pada lokasi penelitian untuk mendapatkan informasi saat DOC 50-82. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada 3 kolam yaitu kolam F3 memiliki luas 2500 m2 kepadatan 151 ekor/m2 dengan pemberian pakan automatic feeder metode continuous, kolam A5 memiliki luas 1000 m2 kepadatan 150 ekor/m2 dengan pemberian pakan automatic feeder metode advanced dan kolam Y4 memiliki luas 1700 m2 kepadatan 150 ekor/m2 dengan pemberian pakan secara manual. Analisa penelitian dilakukan menggunakan Analisis Varians (ANOVA) pada kegiatan sampling sebanyak 5 kali yaitu analisa Berat Rata-Rata (ABW), Pertumbuhan Rata-Rata Harian (ADG), Protein Efisiensi Rasio (PER) dan Rasio Konversi Pakan (FCR) dalam pengaruh penggunaan alat pemberi pakan otomatis dengan metode berbeda terhadap laju pertumbuhan udang vaname. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa penggunaan alat pemberi pakan otomatis dengan metode berbeda berpengaruh signifikan terhadap laju pertumbuhan udang vaname berupa ABW dan ADG, sedangkan tidak berpengaruh signifikan pada PER dan FCR. Adapun nilai ABW tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan advanced sebesar 15,58 gr/ekor dengan rata-rata sebesar 11,05±3,26 gr/ekor. Nilai ADG tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan continuous sebesar 0,41 gr/hari dengan rata-rata sebesar 0,31±0,88 gr/hari. Nilai PER tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan advanced dengan rata-rata sebesar 0,96±0,49%, sedangkan nilai FCR tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan continuous dengan rata-rata sebesar 1,04±0,07. Adapun nilai parameter kualitas air penelitian berada pada kisaran optimal untuk pertumbuhan udang vaname.

English Abstract

Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is the main export commodity that is used as a superior variety because it has a high production level. The Indonesian government targets vaname shrimp production to be increased by 250% until 2024 (DJPB, 2020). Shrimp productivity can be increased through intensive cultivation systems with high stocking densities. However, high stocking density has a negative impact on growth rate and water quality. The negative impact is influenced by feed, so good management of feeding is needed to support high shrimp production. Automatic feeder is an automatic feeding device to promote optimal growth and reduce pollution in aquaculture waters. This research was conducted in the Cikalong pond, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java. The research method was carried out using an experimental method with a research design in the form of a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 treatments and 5 replications. The data collection technique used observation or direct observation at the research site to obtain information during DOC 50-82. Data retrieval was carried out in 3 ponds, namely pond F3 with an area of 2500 m2 with a density of 151 fish/m2 with continuous automatic feeder feeding, pond A5 with an area of 1000 m2 with a density of 150 fish/m2 with automatic feeder feeding with an advanced method and pond Y4 with an area of 1700 m2 density 150 head/m2 with manual feeding. Analysis of the research was carried out using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) on sampling activities as much as 5 times, namely analysis of Average Body Weight (ABW), Average Daily Growth (ADG), Protein Efficiency Ratio (PER) and Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR) in the effect of using an automatic feeder with different methods on the growth rate of vaname shrimp. The results showed that the use of an automatic feeder with a different method had a significant effect on the growth rate of vannamei shrimp in the form of ABW and ADG, while it had no significant effect on PER and FCR. The highest ABW value was obtained in the advanced treatment of 15.58 g/head with an average of 11.05±3.26 g/head. The highest ADG value was obtained in the continuous treatment of 0.41 g/day with an average of 0.31 ± 0.88 g/day. The highest PER value was obtained in the advanced treatment with an average of 0.96±0.49%, while the highest FCR value was obtained in the continuous treatment with an average of 1.04±0.07. The research water quality parameter values are in the optimal range for the growth of vaname shrimp.
