Abstract

Bawang merah memiliki peranan strategis terhadap peningkatan perekonomian, kesejahteraan hingga memberikan kesempatan kerja bagi petani. Tingginya tingkat produksi dan besarnya luas lahan bawang merah di Desa Mranggonlawang merupakan peluang sekaligus tantangan besar bagi petani untuk mempertahankan hingga terus meningkatkan tingkat produksinya, karena permintaan konsumsi bawang merah terus bertambah seiring pertumbuhan populasi masyarakat. Upaya peningkatan produksi tentu tidak mudah karena petani menghadapi risiko produksi yang bersumber dari faktor eksternal maupun faktor internal. Penelitian ini bertujuan antara lain untuk: (1) menganalisis pengaruh faktor- faktor produksi terhadap produksi bawang merah; (2) menganalisis pengaruh faktor- faktor produksi terhadap risiko produksi bawang merah; (3) menganalisis tingkat risiko produksi bawang merah. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi pada model fungsi Just dan Pope serta koefisien variasi. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Variabel yang digunakan adalah benih, pupuk NPK, pupuk urea, pupuk ZA, pestisida, dan tenaga kerja. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni-Juli 2021 di Desa Mranggonlawang yang dipilih secara purposive sebagai tempat penelitian. Penentuan jumlah sampel penelitian menggunakan rumus Parel sebanyak 33 petani dari total 120 petani. Sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data primer penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara. Hasil estimasi fungsi produksi menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi benih, pupuk NPK dan tenaga kerja berpengaruh terhadap produksi bawang merah. Kemudian, faktor produksi pestisida bersifat risk increasing, sedangkan faktor produksi tenaga kerja bersifat risk decreasing. Kemudian, tingkat risiko produksi bawang merah di Desa Mranggonlawang tergolong tinggi.

English Abstract

Shallots have a strategic role in improving the economy, welfare and providing job opportunities for farmers. The high level of production and the large area of shallots in Mranggonlawang Village is an opportunity as well as a big challenge for farmers to maintain and continue to increase their production levels, because the demand for shallot consumption continues to increase along with population growth. Efforts to increase production are certainly not easy because farmers face production risks that come from external and internal factors. This study aims, among others, to: (1) analyze the influence of production factors on the production of shallots; (2) analyze the influence of production factors on the risk of shallot production; (3) analyzing the risk level of shallot production. The data analysis method used is regression analysis on the Just and Pope function model and the coefficient of variation. A quantitative approach is used in this study. The variables used are seeds, NPK fertilizers, urea fertilizers, ZA fertilizers, pesticides, and labor. The research was conducted in June-July 2021 in Mranggonlawang Village which was chosen purposively as the research site. Determination of the number of research samples using the parallel formula as many as 33 farmers from a total of 120 farmers. While the sampling technique used simple random sampling method. The primary data collection of the research was obtained through interviews. The estimation results of the production function show that the production of seeds, NPK fertilizer and labor have an effect on the production of shallots. Then, the pesticide production factor is risk increasing, while the labor production factor is risk decreasing. Then, the risk level of shallot production in Mranggonlawang Village is high.
