Abstract

Teknologi pada bidang pertanian berkembang semakin pesat dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Teknologi di bidang pertanian yang layak disebarkan yaitu teknologi hidroponik, hal ini disebabkan karena semakin sempitnya lahan pertanian karena pembangunan baik di bidang industri, bangunan, maupun jasa yang semakin banyak menyebabkan kegiatan pertanian konvensional semakin kurang efisien diikuti dengan harga lahan yang semakin tinggi. Tanaman sawi pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) adalah tanaman jenis tanaman sayur dari suku Brassicaceae atau dikenal sebagai sawi sendok. Bunga pada tanaman sawi pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) tersusun atas tangkai yang memiliki banyak cabang dan tumbuh memanjang. Hidroponik yaitu suatu teknik budidaya atau penanaman jenis tumbuhan tanpa menggunakan unsur tanah. Berdasarkan jenis media, terdapat dua sistem pada hidroponik yaitu kultur air dan substrat. Kultur air pada hidroponik yaitu air digunakan sebagai media tanam, sedangkan substrat pada hidroponik yaitu tanaman di tanam pada media pasir, kerikil, perlit, rockwool, dan lain sebagainya

English Abstract

Technology in agriculture has grown more rapidly in recent years. Technology in agriculture that is feasible to spread is hydroponic technology, this is due to the increasingly narrow agricultural land due to development in the fields of industry, buildings, and services which increasingly causes conventional agricultural activities to be less efficient followed by higher land prices. Pakcoy mustard plant (Brassica rapa L.) is a type of vegetable plant from the Brassicaceae tribe or known as spoon mustard. Flowers on mustard cabbage plants (Brassica rapa L.) are composed of stems which have many branches and grow elongated. Hydroponics is a technique of cultivating or planting plant species without using soil elements. Based on the type of media, there are two systems in hydroponics namely water culture and substrate. Water culture in hydroponics, which is water used as a growing medium, while the substrate in hydroponics, namely plants planted on sand, gravel, pearlite, rockwool, and so on.
