Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah sapi perah setiap tahun akan menimbulkan permasalahan lingkungan yaitu limbah peternakan. Sapi perah dengan bobot 400-500 kg dapat menghasilkan limbah padat dan cair sebesar 27,5-30 kg/ekor/hari. Cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan mengolah dan memanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organik cair, karena limbah peternakan mengandung unsur hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji pengaruh pemberian volume limbah cair peternakan sapi perah terhadap pertumbuhan, biomassa dan produksi tanaman cabai rawit. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan desain rancangan acak lengkap 1 faktor dengan 10 perlakuan yaitu 0 L/m2 (kontrol), 2 L/m2, 4 L/m2, 6 L/m2, 8 L/m2, 10 L/m2, 12 L/m2, 14 L/m2, 16 L/m2, 18 L/m2 dan dilakukan tiga kali pengulangan, dimana perlakuan diberikan pada 0 dan 6 minggu setelah tanam. Kemudian dilakukan analisis data dengan uji ANOVA One Way taraf kepercayaan 5% dan uji lanjut Tukey dengan Software Minitab 20. Pengamatan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tinggi, jumlah daun, berat basah, berat kering, jumlah buah dan berat buah tanaman cabai rawit Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa limbah cair peternakan sapi perah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap parameter tinggi dan jumlah daun tanaman cabai rawit yang di tunjukkan dengan perbedaan notasi pada uji tukey. Parameter berat basah, berat kering, jumlah buah dan berat buah memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, dimana perlakuan 14 L/m2 memiliki hasil yang optimum, setelah melewati titik optimum akan mengakibatkan penurunan. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan parameter hasil produksi yang paling tinggi dengan rata-rata jumlah buah yaitu 53,67 buah dan rata-rata beratnya yaitu 26,37 g. Pemberian volume limbah cair peternakan sapi perah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tinggi, jumlah daun, berat basah tanaman, berat kering tanaman, jumlah buah dan berat buah tanaman cabai rawit.

English Abstract

The increasing number of dairy cattle every year will cause environmental problems that are livestock waste. Dairy cattle with weight 400-500 kg can produce solid and liquid waste of 27.5-30 kg/head/day. The way to overcome this problem is to process and use it as liquid organic fertilizer, because livestock waste contains nutrients needed by plants. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of giving the volume of liquid waste from dairy cattle on the growth, biomass and production of chili plant. The research method used was experimental with a completely randomized design of 1 factor with 10 treatments. There were 0 L/m2(control), 2 L/m2, 4 L/m2, 6 L/m2, 8 L/m2, 10 L/m2, 12 L/m2, 14 L/m2, 16 L/m2, 18 L/m2 and carried out three repetitions, where the treatments were given at 0 and 6 weeks after planting. Then the data was analyzed using One Way ANOVA test with 5% confidence level and Tukey follow-up test with Minitab 20 software. In this study, the observation included height, number of leaves, wet weight, dry weight, number of fruits and fruit weight of chili plants. The results of the study showed that liquid waste from dairy cattle had a significant effect on the parameters of height and number of leaves of chili plants that showed by differences in the notation of the Tukey test. Parameters of wet weight, dry weight, number of fruit and fruit weight had a significant effect, where the 14 L/m2 treatment had optimum results. After passing the optimum point would cause a decrease. This case was showed by the parameters of the highest production yield with an average number of fruits. There were 53.67 pieces and an average weight of 26.37 g. The volume of liquid waste from dairy cattle had a significant effect on the height, number of leaves, wet weight of plants, dry weight of plants, number of fruits and fruit weight of chili plants.
