Abstract
Beras adalah hasil bumi yang terbentuk dari tanaman padi lalu mengalami proses pengolahan sehingga menjadi beras lalu nantinya dimasak menjadi nasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan masyarakat. Dalam proses pengelolaan di indonesia saat ini terdapat beberapa kendala yang mengakibatkan hasil atau yang didapat tidak sesuai dengan yang diingikan seperti kualitas mutu dan waktu pengolahannya. Mesin poles beras CROWN tipe RA- 125 diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas beras dengan kualitas mutu yang baik untuk menambah minat konsumen guna memenuhi kebutuhan pangan. Dalam hali ini uji kinerja perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa optimal suatu mesin berfungsi untuk menghasilkan beras sosoh yang diinginkan. Pada penelitian, mesin poles beras CROWN tipe RA-125 menggunakan motor AC 20 HP dengan putaran poros utama 850 rpm. Proses pengujian menggunakan beras dengan varietas IR 64 dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Berdasarkan pengukuran hasil kapasitas kerja mesin poles beras CROWN tipe RA-125 menunjukkan nilai kapasitas masukan mesin sebesar 1317,12 kg/jam, kapasitas keluaran mesin sebesar 1310,42 kg/jam, kapasitas penyosohan sebesar 1314,33 kg/jam, Pengujian kualitas hasil penyosohan menunjukkan nilai persentase beras kepala sebesar 88,167%, persentase beras patah sebesar 10,73% persentase menir viii sebesar 0,9%, persentase menir keseluruhan sebesar 1,214%, persentase beras keseluruhan sebesar 97,87%, rendemen sebesar 99,112%, kadar air sebesar 14,4%, dan derajat sosoh sesuai dengan permintaan yang diterima bulog subang. Berdasarkan hasil uji, mesin poles beras CROWN tipe RA-125 dapat menghasilkan beras sosoh yang telah memenuhi kriteria beras yang diinginkan BULOG.
English Abstract
Rice is an agricultural product that is formed from the rice plant and then undergoes a processing process so that it becomes rice and then it is cooked into rice to meet the food needs of the community. In the current management process in Indonesia, there are several obstacles that result in the results or results obtained being not in accordance with what is desired, such as the quality and time of processing. CROWN rice polishing machine type RA- 125 is expected to increase rice productivity with good quality to increase consumer interest in meeting food needs. In this case, a performance test needs to be carried out to find out how optimally a machine functions to produce the desired sosoh rice. In this study, the CROWN rice polishing machine type RA-125 uses a 20 HP AC motor with a main shaft rotation of 850 rpm. The testing process used rice with IR 64 variety with 3 repetitions. Based on the measurement results of the working capacity of the CROWN rice polishing machine type RA-125, the input capacity value of the machine is 1317.12 kg/hour, the engine output capacity is 1310.42 kg/hour, the grinding capacity is 1314.33 kg/hour. The polishing shows the percentage value of head rice is 88.167%, the percentage of broken rice is 10.73%, the percentage of groats is 0.9%, the overall percentage of groats is 1.214%, the overall rice percentage is 97.87%, the yield is 99.112%, the water content is 14.4%, and the degree of sosoh is in accordance with the request received by Bulog Subang. Based on the test results, the CROWN rice polishing machine type RA- 125 can produce polished rice that has met the rice criteria desired by BULOG
