Abstract

Penyebaran virus pandemi COVID-19 yang semakin meningkat, tidak hanya berdampak pada dunia kesehatan, namun sektor lain juga terkena dampak dari adanya wabah pandemi COVID-19. Pada sektor pertanian, pangan merupakan kebutuhan wajib yang harus dipenuhi oleh masyarakat, sehingga proses kegiatan produksi pertanian harus tetap berjalan. Pembangunan sektor pertanian sangat penting untuk diperhatikan mengingat sebagian besar penduduk Indonesia masih menggantungkan hidupnya di sektor pertanian menjadi mata pencaharian utama bagi masyarakat desa. Komoditas hortikultura termasuk dalam komoditas yang paling terdampak di masa pandemi. Salah satunya komoditas cabai rawit yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi yang tinggi. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive di Kecamatan Turen tepatnya pada Desa TumpukRenteng dan Desa Sanankerto. Sedangkan pententuan sampel dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling. Sampel yang diambil adalah petani yang melakukan kegiatan usahatani cabai rawit dimasa pandemi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya tingkat produksi dan pendapatan yang diterima oleh petani cabai rawit, serta mengetahui perubahan yang dihadapi petani selama proses kegiatan usahataninya. Ada beberapa faktor yang dianalisis yaitu luas lahan, benih, pupuk kandang, pupuk ZA, pupuk urea, pupuk NPK, pupuk ponska, pestisida dithane, dan penggunaan tenaga kerja terhadap produksi cabai rawit. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini menggunakan metode fungsi produksi Cobb Douglass dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda dengan alat bantu program STATA 14. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, rata-rata produksi cabai rawit di Kecamatan Turen pada tahun 2021 sebesar 3.768 kg/ha dengan rata-rata pendapatan sebesar Rp. 59.558.965 yang berarti dimasa pandemi ini petani mengalami keuntungan dalam kegiatan usahataninya. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi cabai rawit meliputi, luas lahan, pupuk kandang, dan pupuk NPK.

English Abstract

The increasing spread of the COVID-19 pandemic virus, not only has an impact on the world of health, but other sectors are also affected by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the agricultural sector, food is a mandatory requirement that must be met by the community, so that the process of agricultural production activities must continue. The development of the agricultural sector is very important to note considering that most of the Indonesian population still depends on the agricultural sector as the main livelihood for rural communities. Horticultural commodities are among the commodities most affected during the pandemic. One of them is cayenne pepper which has a high economic value. Determination of the research location was carried out purposive in Turen District, precisely in TumpukRenteng Village and Sanankerto Village. While the determination of the sample is done by simple random sampling method. The samples taken were farmers who carried out cayenne pepper farming activities during the pandemic. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. This study aims to determine the level of production and income received by cayenne pepper farmers, and to find out the changes faced by farmers during the process of their farming activities. There are several factors analyzed including land area, seeds, manure, ZA fertilizer, urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, ponska fertilizer, dithane pesticide, and the use of labor for the production of cayenne pepper. This research uses the Cobb Douglass production function method using multiple linear regression with the STATA 14 program tool. Based on the results of data analysis, the average production of cayenne pepper in Turen District in 2021 is 3,768 kg/ha with an average income of Rp. 59,558,965, which means that during this pandemic, farmers experience profits in their farming activities. Factors that have a significant effect on the production of cayenne pepper include land area, manure, and NPK fertilizer.
