Abstract

Gingival Crevicular Fluid (GCF) merupakan cairan eksudat yang terdapat pada sulkus atau poket periodontal yang terletak diantara gigi dan margin gingiva. Peningkatan GCF umumnya disebabkan oleh karena adanya inflamasi pada jaringan periodontal. Pada penelitian ini, acuan inflamasi jaringan periodontal diukur dengan kedalaman poket periodontal yang diukur menggunakan probe. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat kedalaman poket periodontal dengan volume GCF. Rancangan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional pada 3 kelompok dengan total sampel sebanyak 27 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kota Malang, tepatnya di Puskesmas Janti, Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi dan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Brawijaya. Pengambilan sampel GCF dilakukan dengan metode intrakrevikular dan perhitungan volume dilakukan dengan membandingkan massa yang diukur menggunakan neraca analitik dengan massa jenis GCF sebesar 1 mg/mL. Data yang didapatkan dari uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan Levene homogenicity test bersifat normal dan homogen. Rata-rata volume GCF yang didapatkan berturut-turut pada setiap kelompok adalah 0,351 μL; 0,598 μL; dan 0,751 μL. Analisis one way ANOVA (p > 0,05) menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan, dengan hasil analisis Post Hoc volume GCF tertinggi pada kelompok kedalaman poket > 5,5 mm. Kesimpulan penelitian ini dibuktikan dengan uji korelasi Spearman yang menunjukkan bahwa adanya korelasi positif antara kedalaman poket periodontal dengan peningkatan volume Gingival Crevicular Fluid (GCF) sebesar 92,6%.

English Abstract

Gingival Crevicular Fluid (GCF) is an exudate fluid that found in the sulcus or periodontal pocket that lies between the teeth and the gingival margin. An increase of GCF is generally caused by inflammation of the periodontal tissue. In this study, periodontal tissue inflammation was measured by periodontal pocket depth using a probe. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of periodontal pocket depth with GCF volume. The design of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach in 3 groups with the total samples are 27 people. This research was conducted in Malang City, at the Janti Health Center, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Medicine of Brawijaya University. GCF samples was carried out by the intracrevicular method and volume calculation was done by comparing the mass of GCF measured using an analytical balance with density of 1 mg/mL. Data that obtained from the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and Levene homogenicity test are normal and homogeneous. The average of GCF volume obtained respectively in each group was 0.351 μL, 0.598 μL, and 0.751 μL. One way ANOVA analysis (p > 0.05) shows a significant difference, with the result of the Post Hoc analysis of the highest GCF volume was found in the pocket depth group > 5.5 mm. The conclusion of this study was proven by the Spearman correlation test which showed that there is a positive correlation between the depth of the periodontal pocket and an increase in the volume of the Gingival Crevicular Fluid (GCF) of 92.6%.
