Abstract
Latar Belakang: Kualitas hidup masyarakat pedesaan masih kurang dibandingkan dengan wilayah perkotaan, terutama di ranah kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Penelitian ini akan meneliti peran kader kesehatan desa dalam pemberdayaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut di desa. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh peran kader kesehatan desa terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap warga Dusun Bareng, Kabupaten Malang terhadap kesgilut. Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan pra-eksperimental metode one-group pre-posttest design. Sampel terdiri dari 84 warga Dusun Bareng usia produktif. Pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap kesgilut dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Kuesioner tersebut mencakup pernyataan mengenai tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap kesgilut. Kuesioner disebarkan sebelum dan sesudah kader kesehatan melakukan penyuluhan kesgilut. Sebelumnya kuesioner sudah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas dengan hasil semua valid dan reliabel. Hasil: Hasil kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan uji non-parametrik Wilcoxon Matched Pairs untuk melihat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pre-test dan post-test. Hasil uji statistik menujukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan skor yang signifikan yaitu sebesar 13% untuk tingkat pengetahuan dan 18% untuk sikap terhadap kesgilut. Kesimpulan: Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari peran kader kesehatan terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap warga Dusun Bareng terhadap kesgilut.
English Abstract
Background: The quality of life of rural communities is still poor compared to urban areas, especially in the realm of oral health. This research will examine the role of village health cadres in the empowerment of oral health in the village. Aim: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the role of health cadres on the oral health knowledge and attitudes of the residents in Bareng Village, Malang District. Method: This research was conducted with a pre-experimental approach with one-group pre-posttest design method. The sample consisted of 84 residents of Bareng Village of productive age. Measurement of the oral health knowledge (OHK) and behavior (OHB) is done by questionnaire. The questionnaire included 20 statements regarding oral health knowledge and behavior. Questionnaires were distributed before and after health cadres conducted counseling sessions. Previously, the questionnaire had been tested for validity and reliability with the results of all valid and reliable. Result: The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs non-parametric test to see a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. Statistical test results show that there is a significant increase in scores, 13% for the oral health knowledge and 18% for the attitude towards oral health. Conclusion: From these results it can be concluded that there is an influence of the oral health cadres’ role on the level of oral health knowledge and attitudes of residents in Dusun Bareng.
