Abstract
Identifikasi forensik yang menggunakan gigi geligi disebut odontologi forensik. Odontologi forensik menjadi salah satu metode yang diandalkan dalam mengidentifikasi korban, karena dapat bertahan pada lingkungan yang ekstrem dan waktu yang lama. Aplikasi dari cabang forensik ini salah satunya adalah estimasi usia. Estimasi usia menggunakan gambaran radiograf gigi geligi menjadi metode yang akurat, efisien, relatif mudah dilakukan, serta dapat menunjukkan tahapan pertumbuhkembangan gigi mulai dari benih hingga apikal yang menutup sempurna. Salah satu metode estimasi usia menggunakan gambaran radiograf adalah metode Cameriere. Metode ini menggunakan rumus regresi linier untuk menghitung estimasi usia pada anak-anak dengan mengukur apikal yang terbuka menggunakan radiograf panoramik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara estimasi usia menggunakan metode Cameriere dengan usia kronologis pada pasien Laboratorium Radiodiagnostik FKG UB. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan 60 sampel yang dibagi menjadi 30 laki-laki dan 30 perempuan. Pengukuran gigi dihitung menggunakan aplikasi Image J kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam Excel untuk dilakukan perhitungan estimasi usia menggunakan metode Cameriere, data yang diperoleh dilakukan uji Wilcoxon yang menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara estimasi usia menggunakan metode Cameriere dengan usia kronologis pasien Laboratorium Radiodiagnostik FKG UB (p>0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah metode Cameriere dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu cara untuk melakukan estimasi usia pada anak usia 5-15 tahun di Laboratorium Radiodiagnostik FKG UB.
English Abstract
Forensic identification using the teeth is called forensic odontology. Forensic odontology is one of the most reliable methods of identifying victims because it can withstand extreme environments and for a long time. One of the applications of the forensic branch is age estimation. Age estimation using dental radiographs is a method that is accurate, efficient, relatively easy to do, and can show the stages of tooth development from tooth bud to apical closure. One method of estimating age using radiographs is the Cameriere method. This method uses a linear regression formula to calculate the estimated age in children by measuring the open apices using a panoramic radiograph. This study aims to determine the difference between the age estimation using the Cameriere method and the chronological age in Radiodiagnostic Laboratory of the Faculty of Dentistry Brawijaya University patients. The study was conducted using 60 samples divided into 30 males and 30 females. Teeth measurements were calculated using the Image J application then the results were entered into Excel to calculate age estimates using the Cameriere method, the data obtained was carried out by the Wilcoxon test which showed there was no significantly difference between the age estimation using the Cameriere method and the chronological age of the patients at Radiodiagnostic Laboratory of the Faculty of Dentistry Brawijaya University (p>0.05). This study concludes that the Cameriere method can be used as a way to estimate the age of children aged 5-15 years in Radiodiagnostic Laboratory Of The Faculty Of Dentistry Brawijaya University.
