Ramadhani, Izatannisa Nurma and Prasetyo Adi,, drg., M.S (2020) Nano-Hydroxyapatite Cangkang Telur Ayam Sebagai Zat Aktif Penutupan Tubuli Dentin Dan Remineralisasi Gigi (Studi Literatur). Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
Background: Chicken egg shells contain calcium carbonate of 94% of the total egg shell weight. Calcium carbonate is the main ingredient in the synthesis of nano-hydroxyapatite. Nano-hydroxyapatite will be superior because its structure and bioactivity resemble dental apatite. The great potential of nano-hydroxyapatite can handle remineralization of teeth and closure of exposed dentinal tubules, causing dentin hypersensitivity. Objective: to determine the role of nano-hydroxyapatite from chicken eggshells as an active substance in the closure of dentinal tubules and tooth remineralization. Methods: This study uses approach Literature Review, journal searches are obtained through a database of international journal providers, Google Schoolar, PubMed, Elsevier, MDPI, Dove Press, ACS and Springer Nature with the keywords "Nano-Hydroxyapatite from Chicken Eggshell", "Nano-Hydroxyapatite for Tooth Remineralization","Nano-Hydroxyapatite for Hypersensitivity Dentine” "Nano-hydroxyapatite Eggshell method". Research results: There are 12 journals with 6 journals describing the purity of nano-hydroxyapatite which has been successfully synthesized from chicken eggshells by various methods such as hydrothermal, ball milling and precipitation. There are 6 journals that describe the great potential of nano-hydroxyapatite in closing open dentinal tubules, causing dentin hypersensitivity, and increasing the rate of tooth remineralization.
