Abstract

Presiden K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid merupakan tokoh agama dan politik di Indonesia. Sebagai tokoh agama Presiden K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid dikenal sebagai Ketua PBNU dan ulama besar keturunan Bani Hasyim. Sebagai politikus Presiden K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid adalah Presiden keempat Republik Indonesia. Komunikasi politik Presiden K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid sebagai tokoh agama dan Presiden dikenal kontroversial. Gaya komunikasi politik yang kontroversial ternyata menyimpan makna tersembunyi yang dapat diungkapkan melalui studi analisis wacana dengan menggunakan metode yang disampaikan oleh Teun A. van Dijk. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan interpretif dengan paradigma kritis. Dekrit Presiden 2001 menjadi fokus utama penulis dalam mengungkapkan makna yang ada dalam fenomena gaya komunikasi politik tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya komunikasi politik yang dilakukan oleh Presiden K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid ternyata untuk menyelamatkan rakyat dari tindakan inkonstitusional. Dan ternyata dalam teks Dekrit Presiden K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid yang berada pada ranah mikrostruktur, bukan penyebab timbulnya konflik, namun letak konfliknya justru berada dalam ranah makrostruktur yang diketahui timbul dari luar teks Dekrit yang titik konfliknya berasal dari kekuatan politis.

English Abstract

President K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid is a religious and political figure in Indonesia. As a religious leader, President K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid was known as the Chair of the PBNU and the great ulama of the descendants of the Bani Hashim. As a politician, President K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid is the fourth President of the Republic of Indonesia. President K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid’s political communication as a religious figure and the President was known to be controversial. The style of political communication turns out to have a hidden meaning that can be expressed through the study of discourse analysis using the method presented by Teun A. Van Dijk. This study uses an interpretive approach with a critical paradigm. The 2001 Presidential Decree became the main focus of the author in expressing the meaning contained in the style of political communication phenomenon. The results showed that controversial political communication carried out by President Abdurrahman Wahid turned out to save the people from unconstitutional actions. Apparently in the text of the Decree of President K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid who is in the micro domain of the structure, not the cause of conflict, however the conflict is in the macro structure which is known from outside the text of Decree where the conflict comes from the political power.
