Abstract
TUJUAN: Mengetahui hubungan antara obesitas dengan kejadian diabetik retinopati METODE: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Population Based Cross Sectional Study. Data diambil dari database Penelitian Biomarker Smarthealth di tiga desa Kabupaten Malang dengan diabetes melitus dengan usia lebih dari 40 tahun sebanyak 155 orang. Obesitas diukur dengan menggunakan perhitungan indeks massa tubuh dan lingkar perut pada setiap responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. HASIL: Sebanyak 155 responden diabetes melitus didapatkan 23 responden dengan diabetik retinopati. Didapatkan hasil obesitas sentral (lingkar perut lebih dari normal) (OR 1,3, P>0,05) untuk terjadi diabetic retinopati, dan hasil (OR 1,6, P>0,05) obesitas terhadap indeks massa tubuh normal mejadi diabetik retinopati. KESIMPULAN: Obesitas berdasarkan indeks massa tubuh maupun obesitas sentral sebagai faktor resiko terhadap terjadinya diabetik retinopati pada penderita diabetes melitus.
English Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between obesity and the incidence of diabetic retinopathy METHODS: This research is a Population Based Cross Sectional Study. Data were taken from the Smarthealth Biomarker Research database in three villages in Malang Regency with diabetes mellitus with age more than 40 years as many as 155 people. Obesity was measured using the calculation of body mass index and abdominal circumference in each respondent. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. RESULTS: A total of 155 respondents with diabetes mellitus obtained 23 respondents with diabetic retinopathy. The results obtained were central obesity (abdominal circumference more than normal) (OR 1.3, P>0.05) for diabetic retinopathy, and results (OR 1.6, P>0.05) obesity to normal body mass index became diabetic retinopathy. CONCLUSION: Obesity based on body mass index and central obesity as a risk factor for the occurrence of diabetic retinopathy in patients with diabetes mellitus.
