Abstract
Metode belajar sambil bermain merupakan metode yang efektif digunakan untuk edukasi kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak. Penggunaan permainan edukasi diharapkan mampu meningkatankan perilaku anak dengan memotivasi dan membentuk lingkungan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan edukasi modifikasi twister terhadap perilaku kesehatan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas IV SD Al Ma’moer Kota Bekasi. Metode penelitian bersifat studi preeksperimental dengan metode rancangan one group pretest posttest. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan quota sampling dengan subjek sejumlah 30 siswa. Intervensi diberikan dalam bentuk permainan edukasi modifikasi twister yang menggabungkan desain twister dan metode kuis yang dikemas dalam bentuk aplikasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara perilaku siswa sebelum dan setelah dilakukan intervensi (p<0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh permainan edukasi modifikasi twister terhadap perubahan perilaku kesehatan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas IV SD Al Ma’moer Kota Bekasi.
English Abstract
Learning while playing is an effective method used for oral health education in children. The use of educational games is expected to be able to improve children’s behavior by motivating and forming a pleasant learning environment. This study aims to determine the effect of the modified twister educational game on the oral health behavior of 4th grade students of SD Al Ma’moer Bekasi. This research is a pre-experimental study with one group pretest posttest method. The sample was selected using quota sampling and obtained 30 students. Intervention is given in the form of a modified twister educational game that combines the twister design with quiz method and packaged in the form of an application. Wilcoxon test was used for data analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the behavior before and after the intervention (p<0,05). It is concluded that there was an effect of modified twister educational games on changes in oral health behavior for 4th grade students of SD Al Ma’moer Bekasi.
