Abstract
Kali Sumpil merupakan sungai yang mengalir dari Kelurahan Tunjungsekar, Kecamatan Lowokwaru hingga ke pertemuan Kali Sari di Kelurahan Pandanwangi, Kecamatan Blimbing, Kota Malang. Tata guna lahan di sekitar Kali Sumpil didominasi oleh kawasan pemukiman, pertanian, dan pekebunan. Bertambahnya aktivitas masyarakat dan perubahan tata guna lahan di sekitar Kali Sumpil mengakibatkan meningkatnya limbah yang dihasilkan yang dapat mengontaminasi air permukaan dan memicu terjadinya pencemaran sungai. Limbah yang masuk ke badan sungai meliputi limbah rumah tangga yang dibuang ke badan sungai melalui pipa-pipa pembuangan, limbah kawasan industri dan ekonomi, serta sisa penggunaan pupuk. Di sisi lain, masyarakat yang masih memanfaatkan air tanah untuk kebutuhan domestik mengeluhkan kondisi sumur mereka yang terkadang berbau dan berwarna keruh. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, dikhawatirkan terdapat interaksi antara air tanah dan air permukaan di lokasi penelitian ini. Maka dari itu, dilakukanlah penelitian ini untuk menganalisis ada atau tidaknya pola interaksi antara air tanah dan air permukaan Kali Sumpil. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama periode Agustus–Desember 2021 di segmen Kali Sumpil sepanjang 5,6 km. Titik pengamatan yang diamati adalah sebanyak 43 sumur warga yang menyebar di sebelah kanan dan kiri aliran Kali Sumpil, serta sebanyak 8 titik pengamatan air permukaan Kali Sumpil, yang dibagi menjadi 5 cross section untuk mewakili bagian hulu, tengah, dan hilir lokasi penelitian. Tahapan penelitian terdiri atas 3 tahapan utama, yaitu pemetaan pola aliran air tanah dengan bantuan program komputer Surfer 13, analisis pola interaksi dengan pendekatan statistik, meliputi analisis time series, analisis koefisien korelasi, analisis komponen utama (PCA), dan analisis klaster (cluster analysis) dengan bantuan program komputer RStudio, serta pengujian karakteristik kimia sampel air di lokasi penelitian dengan model Diagram Trilinear Piper dengan bantuan program komputer GW Chart versi 1.30. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat dinyatakan bahwa elevasi muka air tanah di lokasi penelitian berkisar antara +493,88 m dpl di bagian hulu hingga +436,70 m dpl di bagian hilir, dimana aliran air tanah mengalir dari arah Barat Laut menuju ke arah Tenggara bersesuaian dengan arah aliran Kali Sumpil. Hubungan antara air tanah dan air permukaan adalah air tanah mengisi air permukaan Kali Sumpil (gaining reach). Interaksi yang signifikan antara air tanah dan air permukaan secara spasial dan temporal di lokasi penelitian ditunjukkan dengan kemiripan pola nilai parameter fisik terukur, nilai koefisien korelasi secara umum adalah cukup kuat hingga kuat dengan kisaran nilai antara 0,406 – 0,789, keseragaman nilai parameter suhu air yang secara umum terletak di kuadran 3, dan penggolongan nilai parameter fisik air di tiap lokasi pengamatan yang berada di klaster yang sama. Seluruh sampel air tanah dan air permukaan yang dianalisis di laboratorium dan diplot di model Diagram Trilinier Piper menunjukkan kesamaan karakteristik kimia air, yaitu memiliki kandungan alkali tanah melebihi kandungan alkali, kandungan asam kuat melebihi kandungan asam lemah, dengan pasangan kation dan anion seimbang, tidak ada yang melebihi 50%. Berdasarkan seluruh tahapan analisis yang dilakukan membuktikan bahwa terjadi interaksi antara air tanah dan air permukaan Kali Sumpil.
English Abstract
Sumpil River is a river that flows from Tunjungsekar Village, Lowokwaru District to the confluence of Sari River in Pandanwangi Village, Blimbing District, Malang City. The land used around Sumpil River is dominated by residential areas, agricultural and plantation areas. The growth of in community’s activities and the changes of land use around Sumpil River effected an increment of waste which contaminated surface water and triggered a river pollution. The wastes that entered the river consisted of the household-wastes which discharged into the river through sewer pipes, industrial and economic area wastes, and the residue of the fertilizers. On the other hand, the residents who still use the groundwater for domestic needs complained about the condition of their dug wells, which sometimes smells bad and turbid. Based on this phenomenon, it is feared that there will be an interaction between groundwater and surface water in this location. This study was conducted to analyze the interaction between groundwater and surface water in Sumpil River. This research was conducted in August–December 2021 in one of the segments of Sumpil River along the 5.6 km. The points observed were 43 resident’s dug wells scattered to the right and left of the Sumpil River flow, 8 observation points for the Sumpil River surface water, which were divided into 5 cross sections to represent the upstream, middle, and downstream parts of the research location. The research process consisted of 3 main stages, i.e. the mapping of groundwater flow patterns using Surfer 13, analysis of interaction patterns with a statistical analysis, including time series analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, principal component analysis (PCA), and cluster analysis using RStudio, and the analysis of the chemical characteristics of water samples with the Trilinear Piper Diagram model using GW Chart version 1.30. Based on the results of the research, it can be stated that the groundwater level in the location of study ranged from +493,88 m asl in the upstream to +436,70 m asl in the downstream, where groundwater flows from the Northwest to the The Southeast in accordance with the direction of the Sumpil River flow. The interaction between groundwater and surface water is the groundwater flows to the Sumpil River (gaining reach). The significant interaction between groundwater and surface water spatially and temporally at the area of study indicated by the similarity of the pattern of measured water physical parameter values, the strong correlation coefficient with a range between 0.406 - 0.789, uniformity of water temperature values that located in quadrant 3, and the water physical parameter values that classified in the same cluster. All groundwater and surface water samples analyzed in the laboratory and plotted in the Piper Trilinear Diagram model showed the same chemical characteristics, that having an alkaline earth content exceeding an alkaline content, a strong acid content exceeding a weak acid content, with balanced cation and anion pairs, none which exceeds 50%. Based on all the research processes, it is proven that there was an interaction between groundwater and surface water of Sumpil River.
