Abstract

Mahasiswa keperawatan merupakan mahasiswa yang dilaporkan paling banyak mengalami stres akademik. Beban stres yang terakumulasi secara terus menerus tanpa adanya solusi dapat berdampak terhadap emosi negatif yang tidak terkendali dan membuat individu melakukan perilaku merugikan seperti self-harm. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui hubungan tingkat stres akademik dengan kecenderungan perilaku melukai diri sendiri (self-harm) pada mahasiswa program studi ilmu keperawatan FKUB. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional yang melibatkan 240 mahasiswa program studi ilmu keperawatan FKUB. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Stress Nursing Scale Index (SNSI) dan kuesioner kecenderungan self-harm. Analisis data menggunakan uji Rank Spearman dengan aplikasi SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 65,8% responden mengalami stres akademik tingkat sedang dan sebanyak 71,7% memiliki kecenderungan self-harm rendah. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan yaitu terdapat hubungan antara tingkat stres akademik dengan kecenderungan self-harm. Hasil uji rank spearman mendapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,395. Diharapkan institusi pendidikan dapat lebih memperhatikan kondisi psikologis mahasiswa dengan memfasislitasi layanan konseling guna membantu mahasiswa mengatasi kesulitas selama menempuh proses perkuliahan.

English Abstract

Nursing students were reported as one of the students who experienced the most stress. The burden of stress that accumulates continuously without a solution can have an impact on uncontrollable negative emotions and make individuals perform harmful behaviors such as self-harm. This study aims to determine the relationship between academic stress levels and the tendency of self-harm behavior in nursing students. This study used a cross sectional method involving 240 nursing students. The instruments used were the Stress Nursing Scale Index (SNSI) questionnaire and the self-harm tendency questionnaire. Data analysis used Rank Spearman test with SPSS 25 application. The results showed that 65.8% of respondents experienced moderate academic stress and 71.7% had low self-harm tendencies. The results of the research obtained that there is a relationship between the level of academic stress with self-harm tendencies. Spearman rank test results get a significance value of 0.000 with a correlation coefficient of 0.395. It is hoped that educational institutions can pay more attention to the psychological condition of students by facilitating counseling services to help students overcome difficulties during the lecture process.
