Abstract
PT Heinz ABC Indonesia Pasuruan Plant menerapkan metode kimia, fisik dan biologis untuk mengolah limbah yang dihasilkan. Dalam pengolahannya, terdapat beberapa parameter yang diperhatikan, yaitu COD (chemical oxygen demand), BOD (biologicaloxygen demand), Tss, SV, pH, suhu dan lain-lain. Pengukuran nilai COD limbah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode titrasi (metode kimia) open refluks, pengukuran pH dilakukan dengan menggunakan kertas unversal indocator, sedangkan pengukuran suhu dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat termometer raksa. Dari pengolahan air limbah tersebut dihasilkan juga limbah lain berupa sludge hasil samping dari pengepresan mesin belt press. Diketahui bahwa limbah sludge tersebut memiliki kandungan protein, lemak, serat dan lain-lain yang cukup tinggi. Dari kandungan tersebut, dapat diketahui bahwa limbah sludge memiliki potensi untuk diolah kembali menjadi produk bermanfaat seperti pakan ternak ruminansia. Pada proses pengolahannya, diperlukan bantuan proses fermentasi dengan bantuan bioaktivator untuk memaksimalkan kandungan nutrisi limbah sludge tersebut. Pada bidang peternakan, bioaktivator yang biasa digunakan adalah EM-4 Peternakan. Pada percobaan ini, ditambahkan lagi satu jenis bioaktivator, yaitu probiotik dekra, yang merupakan probiotik pendegradasi limbah organik. Limbah sludge difermentasi dengan 5 taraf perlakuan, yaitu kombinasi dari EM- 4 (A) dan probiotik dekra (B) dengan perbandingan; P1 (A1%: B 0%), P2 (A 0,75%: B 0,25%), P3 (A 0,5%: B 0,5%), P4 (A 0,25%: B 0,75%), P5 (A 0%: B1%) dan P0 (A 0%:B 0%) sebagai kontrol, kemudian akan dilakukan analisa parameter fisik berupa tekstur, bau dan warna, serta parameter kimia berupa suhu, pH, kadar abu dan proteinkasar. Setelah dilakukan analisa anova, diketahui bahwa semua taraf perlakuan yang diberikan kepada sampel, tidak dapat memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan. Nilai protein kasar dan kadar abu terbaik, secara berurutan didapat pada perlakuan P1 (A1%: B 0%) dan P2 (A 0,75%: B 0,25%).
English Abstract
PT Heinz ABC Indonesia Pasuruan Plant applies chemical, physical and biological methods to treat the waste generated. In the processing, there are several parameters to be considered, namely COD (chemical oxygen demand), BOD (biological oxygen demand), Tss, SV, pH, temperature and others. The measurement of the COD value of the effluent was carried out using the open reflux titration method (chemical method), pH measurements was carried out using universal indocator paper,and temperature measurements were carried out using a mercury thermometer. From this wastewater treatment, other wastes are also generated in the form of sludge by-products from pressing the belt press machine. It is known that the sludge waste contains high levels of protein, fat, fiber and others. From these contents, it can be seen that sludge waste has the potential to be reprocessed into useful products such as ruminant animal feed. In the processing, it is necessary to assist the fermentation process with the help of a bioactivator to maximize the nutrient content of the sludge waste. In the livestock sector, the bioactivator commonly used is EM-4 Animal Husbandry. In this experiment, another type of bioactivator was added, namely probiotic dekra, which is a probiotic that degrades organic waste. Sludge waste is fermented with 5 levels of treatment, namely a combination of EM-4 (A) and probiotic dekra (B) with a comparison; P1 (A 1%: B 0%), P2 (A 0.75%: B 0.25%), P3 (A 0.5%: B 0.5%), P4 (A 0.25%: B 0.75%), P5 (A 0%: B1%) and P0 (A 0%: B 0%) as controls, then will be analyzed for physical parameters such as texture, odor and color, as well as chemical parameters such as temperature, pH, ash content and crude protein. After the ANOVA analysis was performed, it was found that all levels of treatment given to the sample did not have a significant effect. The best values of crude protein and ash content were obtained in treatments P1 (A 1%: B 0%) and P2 (A 0.75%: B 0.25%).
