Abstract
Seiring dengan meningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap produk batik, mengakibatkan perusahaan penghasil kain batik berlomba untuk meningkatkan kegiatan produksinya. Pembangunan industri batik memberikan dampak yang menyebabkan air limbah buangan. Fitoremediasi adalah salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan dalam metode pengolahan limbah, menggunakan tanaman Equisetum hyemale, Hydrila verticilliata, Pistia strattiotes sebagai agen biologi dalam pengolahan limbah tersebut dengan proses pemaparan. Proses pengolahan limbah cair batik menggunakan metode Fitoremediasi dengan tanaman terbukti dapat menurunkan kadar BOD dan Timbal (Pb). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan faktor perlakuan yaitu jenis tanaman (Equisetum hyemale, Hydrila verticillia, Pistia strattiotes) dan lama waktu pemaparan (3, 7, dan 11 hari). Ulangan sebanyak 3 kali sehingga didapatkan 27 unit perlakuan. Parameter yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah kadar BOD dan logam timbal (Pb) setelah perlakuan. Efektivitas penurunan konsentrasi Timbal (Pb) menggunakan tanaman kayu apu, bambu air dan hydrilla secara berturut-turut sebesar 97,53%, 98,22%, dan 96,45%. Efektivitas konsentrasi BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) pada penanaman tanaman kayu apu, bambu air dan ganggang air secara berturutturut sebesar 94,44%; 90,97%; dan 88,7%. Berat basah tanaman kayu apu lebih besar dari pada berat basah tanaman bambu air dan hydrilla. Total massa tanaman bambu air lebih besar daripada tanaman kayu apu dan hydrilla Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan saat proses fitoremediasi selama 11 hari.
English Abstract
Along with increasing public interest in batik products, resulted in batik fabric manufacturer competing to increase production activities.The development of batik industry has an impact that causes waste water.It is one of the causes of river pollution in Indonesia.Based on the decree of the governor of East Java no 72 year 2013 about the quality of liquid waste for industry or other business activities in East Java, specialized for the textile industry, raw liquid waste quality for the BOD parameters 60 mg.L 1, and for the lead (Pb) parameter is 1 mg. L 1. Need to be done a sewage treatment in the reduction of the content of such pollutants.Fitoremediation is one way that can be done in the method of sewage treatment, using the plant Equisetum hyemale, Hydrila Verticillia, Pistia Strattiotes as a biological agent in the treatment of such waste with the process of exposure.The processing of batik liquid waste using fitoremediation method with plants proved to be able to lower BOD and lead (PB) levels.The best treatment based on the type of crop and the length of time of batik waste exposure is most effective for the content of BOD and lead (PB) is in the same treatment, namely in the length of exposure 3, 7, and 11 days with Equisetum Hyemale, Hydrila Verticillia, Pistia strattiotes 1 piece 1 month old. The study uses complete random draft (RAL) with a treatment factor of plant type (Equisetum hyemale, Hydrila Verticillia, Pistia strattiotes) and long exposure time (3, 7, and 11 days).Repetition was 9 times so that there were 27 treatment units. The parameters measured in this study are the BOD and lead metal (Pb) levels before and after treatment.
