Abstract
Pandemi COVID-19 telah menimbulkan banyak sekali dampak bagi masyarakat yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya. Lansia merupakan kelompok yang termasuk dalam kategori rentan tertular infeksi Covid-19 yang disebabkan oleh “proses penuaan yang berdampak pada penurunan daya tahan fisik dan penurunan kemampuan psikologis lansia salah satunya yaitu mekanisme koping. Berdasarkan dari beberapa sumber menyatakan bahwa mekanisme koping dapat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat pengetahuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis apakah ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan Covid-19 dengan mekanisme koping pada lansia. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dan dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 114 lansia berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan esklusi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar kuesioner tingkat pengetahuan Covid-19 dan mekanisme koping. Analisa data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji Spearman rho (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa korelasi tidak searah dan hubungan antar dua variabel sangat lemah dengan nilai (p=0,109 dan r=-0,151). Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan covid-19 dengan mekanisme koping pada lansia. Pada era pandemi Covid-19 diharapkan perawat tidak hanya berfokus pada keluhan fisik namun juga” memperhatikan kondisi psikologis dari lansia.
English Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on society. The elderly are a group that is included in the category of being vulnerable to contracting Covid-19 infections caused by the "aging process which has an impact on decreasing physical endurance and decreasing psychological abilities of the elderly, one of which is coping mechanisms. Based on several sources stated that the coping mechanism can be influenced by the level of knowledge. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether there was a relationship between the level of knowledge of Covid-19 and coping mechanisms in the elderly. The type of research carried out in this research is quantitative and is carried out using a correlational analytical descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 114 elderly people based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instruments used are in the form of a Covid-19 knowledge level questionnaire and coping mechanisms. Analysis of the data in this study using the Spearman rho test (p <0.05). The results showed that the correlation was not unidirectional and the relationship between the two variables was very weak with values (p=0.109 and r=-0.151). Based on the results and discussion of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge of COVID-19 and coping mechanisms in the elderly. In the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, nurses are expected to not only focus on physical complaints but also pay attention to the psychological condition of the elderly
