Abstract
Keracunan yang diakibatkan oleh pestisida tergolong sangat tinggi dan beresiko untuk petani. Hal tersebut terjadi karena bahan- bahan yang terkandung pada pestisida akan menempel pada tangan petani bahkan anggota tubuh lainnya dengan cara percikan hingga tertelan. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) pada saat pengaplikasian pestisida. Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) yang dimaksud terdiri dari Topi, Masker, Sarung Tangan, Pakaian Pelindung, Kacamata Pelindung dan Sepatu Boot. Ketentuan tersebut sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi No.Per.03/Men/1983 tentang Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja di Tempat Kerja yang Mengelola Pestisida, pada Pasal 2 ayat (2). Penelitian ini memiliki tiga tujuan yaitu : (1) Mengidentifikasi tingkat pengetahuan petani saat ini tentang penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) saat pengaplikasian pestisida. (2) Mendeskripsikan perilaku petani dalam menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) saat pengaplikasian pestisida, (3) Menganalisis faktor- faktor (faktor predisposisi, faktor pendukung, faktor penguat) yang mempengaruhi perilaku petani dalam penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) saat pengaplikasian pestisida. Faktor predisposisi terdiri dari pengetahuan, sikap, tingkat pendidikan, usia, jenis kelamin. Faktor pendukung terdiri dari ketersediaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) dan akses informasi. Faktor penguat terdiri dari rekan kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan deskriptif dengan alat analisis regresi linear berganda. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive atau sengaja pada kelompok tani Sejahtera Desa Trawas Kecamatan Trawas Mojokerto dengan sampel sebanyak 62 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan petani tergolong sedang/baik dengan presentase sebesar 65%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa petani memiliki pemahaman dan pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). Perilaku petani dalam penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) tergolong Sedang dengan presentase 61.75%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa petani masih belum sepenuhnya tertarik dan nyaman menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). Faktor predisposisi berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku petani dengan p value sebesar 0.032. faktor pendukung memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap perilaku petani dengan p value sebesar 0.000 dan faktor penguat juga berpengaruh positif dengan p value sebesar 0.001. Hasil dari penelitian ini disarankan kepada petani untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) saat pengaplikasian pestisida. Bagi Dinas Pertanian setempat diharapkan melakukan penyuluhan secara rutin kepada kelompok tani. Kepada rekan kerja atau petani lain diharapkan agar meningkatkan kepedulian untuk mengingatkan dalam menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) saat pengaplikasian pestisida.
English Abstract
Poisoning caused by pesticides is very high and a risk to farmers. This happens because the ingredients contained in pesticides will stick to the hand of farmers and even other body parts by sprinkling them until they are swallowed. This problem can be overcome by using Personal Protective Equipment when applying pesticides. Personal Protective Equipment consists of hats, mask, gloves, protective clothing, protective glasses and boots. This provision is in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower and Transmigration No. Per.03/Men/1983 concerning Occupational Safety and Health in the Workplace Managing Pesticides. This research has a three objective there are (1) Identifying the current level of knowledge of farmers about Personal Protective Equipment when applying pesticides. (2) Describe the behavior of farmers in using Personal Protective Equipment when applying pesticides. (3) Analyze the factors (Predisposing factors, supporting factors and reinforcing factors) that effects farmer behavior in using Personal Protective Equipment when applying pesticides. Predisposing factors consist of knowledge, attitude, education, age and gender. Supporting factors consist of the availability of Personal Protective Equipment and access of information. The reinforcing factors consist of colleagues. This research was conducted using quantitative and descriptive methods with multiple linear regression analysis tools. The research location is The “Sejahtera” farmer group at Trawas Village with a sample of 6 respondents. The results of the research is farmers knowledge level is good because farmers have an understanding and know of the use Personal Protective Equipment. The behavior of farmers in using Personal Protective Equipment is classified as moderate with a percentage of 61.75%. This shows that farmers are still no fully interested and comfortable using Personal Protective Equipment. Predisposing factor have a positive effects on farmers behavior with a p value of 0.032. Supporting factors have a positive effects on farmers behavior with p value 0.000 and reinforcing factors have a positive effects on farmers behavior with p value 0.001. The results of the research are suggested to farmers to increase awareness of the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment when applying pesticides. It’s hoped that the local Agriculture Service Office provides regular outreach to farmers group. And the colleagues or other farmers to remind them to use Personal Protective Equipment when applying pesticides.
