Abstract
Pembangunan ekonomi regional digambarkan oleh pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu wilayah dalam suatu periode. Jawa Timur merupakan area dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berfluktuasi selama periode 2016-2018. Permasalahan yang biasa terjadi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi adalah masalah sosial dan kependudukan. Permasalahan ini seringkali disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi. Kondisi ini menyebabkan terjadinya pembangunan ekonomi yang berfluktuasi dan tidak merata pada suatu wilayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor-faktor pertumbuhan ekonomi yaitu pertumbuhan penduduk, indeks pembangunan manusia, persentase penduduk miskin, dan tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh status wilayah yaitu wilayah kabupaten dan wilayah kota sebagai variabel dummy terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Jawa Timur. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah data cross-section dengan sampel sebanyak 38 kabupaten/kota di Jawa Timur pada tahun 2018. Metode analisis berupa fungsi regresi linear berganda dengan variabel dummy menggunakan alat analisis program STATA. Variabel dummy yang digunakan berupa status wilayah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pertumbuhan ekonomi di wilayah kabupaten dan wilayah kota Provinsi Jawa Timur. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu variabel pertumbuhan penduduk dan Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja (TPAK) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, sedangkan variabel persentase penduduk miskin berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Jawa Timur tahun 2018. Selain itu variabel Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) dan status wilayah berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Selain itu wilayah kota dan kabupaten cenderung memiliki perbedaan pertumbuhan ekonomi sebesar 0,073 persen tetapi secara statistik tidak berpengaruh secara siginfikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi.
English Abstract
Regional economic development is described by the economic growth of a region in a period. East Java is an area with fluctuating economic growth during the 2016-2018 period. Problems that usually occur in economic growth are social and population problems. This problem is often caused by factors that affect economic growth. This condition causes fluctuating and uneven economic development in an area. This study aims to analyze the effect of economic growth factors, namely population growth, human development index, percentage of poor people, and labor participation rate on economic growth in East Java. This study also aims to determine the effect of regional status, namely the district and city areas as a dummy variable on economic growth in East Java. The data used in this study is cross-sectional data with a sample of 38 districts/cities in East Java in 2018. The analysis method is in the form of multiple linear regression functions with dummy variables using the STATA program analysis tool. The dummy variable used is in the form of regional status to determine differences in economic growth in the district and city areas of East Java Province. The results obtained from this study are the variable population growth and the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) have a positive and significant effect, while the variable percentage of the poor population has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in East Java in 2018. In addition, the variable Human Development Index (IPM) and the status of the region has a positive and insignificant effect on economic growth. In addition, cities and districts tend to have differences in economic growth of 0.073 percent but statistically it has no significant effect on economic growth.
