Abstract
Desa Sidomulyo merupakan sentra produksi bunga potong yang terdapat di kecamatan batu. Profesi yang dimiliki masyarakat di desa tersebut sebagian besar merupakan petani bunga potong. Sektor pertanian bunga potong menjadi penyangga kesejahteraan masyarakat di Desa Sidomulyo melalui pendapatan yang didapatkan dari sektor tersebut. Namun, adanya pandemi COVID-19 yang terjadi memiliki dampak terhadap sektor tersebut seperti hilangnya konsumen yang menyebabkan menurunnya pendapatan sehingga kesejahteraan yang dimiliki petani bunga potong di Desa Sidomulyo menurun. Perlu adanya pemanfaat modal yang dimiliki petani bunga potong untuk mempertahankan kesejahteraannya salah satunya adalah modal sosial. Modal sosial didefenisiskan sebagai sumberdaya yang berguna seperti saling tolong-menolong, perkembangan dan peningkatan norma sosial di kelompok dan tumbuhnya kepercayaan. Berbeda dengan modalitas lainnya, modal sosial tidak akan habis walaupun sering digunakan. Kualitas dari modal sosial justru semakin baik dan meningkat apabila sering dimanfaatkan oleh individu. Oleh karena itulah modal sosial dianggap penting dalam proses meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani. Adapun modal sosial yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan adalah seperti norma sosial, jaringan sosial dan kepercayaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan: mendeskripsikan kondisi modal sosial yang dimiliki oleh petani bunga potong, mendeskripsikan kondisi kesejahteraan yang dimiliki rumah tangga petani bunga potong dan menganalisis pengaruh modal sosial terhadap kesejahteraan rumah tangga petani bunga potong saat pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilakukan di Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan batu, Kota Batu dengan pertimbangan jumlah sampel yang ditentukan secara Simple Random Sampling. Peneliti menetapkan jumlah sampel sebesar 54 responden yang merupakan petani bunga potong di Desa Sidomulyo. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan bantuan kuesioner melalui wawancara terstruktur dan observasi lapang. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif untuk mengetahui karakteristik responden dan analisis regresi linier berganda dilakukan untuk mengolah dan menjawab tujuan pertama, kedua, dan ketiga. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah variabel norma sosial secara parsial berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan petani bunga potong. Variabel jaringan sosial secara parsial berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan petani bunga potong. Variabel kepercayaan secara parsial tidak berpengaruh terhadap kesejahteraan petani bunga potong. Berdasarkan hasil uji F didapatkan F hitung = 25,95 > F tabel = 2,79 dan signifikansi = 0,000 < α = 0,05. Sehingga variabel norma sosial, jaringan sosial dan kepercayaan secara bersama – sama atau simultan berpengaruh terhadap kesejahteraan petani bunga potong di Desa Sidomulyo.
English Abstract
Sidomulyo Village is center production of cut flower that located in Batu District. The profession owned by the community in the village is mostly cut flower farmers. The cut flower agricultural sector is a buffer for the welfare of the people in Sidomulyo Village through the income obtained from the sector. But, the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred had an impact on the sector such as the loss of consumers which caused a decrease in income so that the welfare of cut flower farmers in Sidomulyo Village decreased. It is necessary to utilize the capital owned by cut flower farmers to maintain their welfare, one of which is social capital. Social capital is defined as useful resources such as mutual assistance, development and improvement of social norms in groups and the growth of trust. Unlike other modalities, social capital will not run out even though it is often used. The quality of social capital actually gets better and increases if it is often used by individuals. Therefore, social capital is considered important in the process of improving the welfare of farmers. The social capital that can be utilized in improving welfare is such as social norms, social networks and trust. This research was conducted with the aim of: describe the condition of social capital owned by cut flower farmers, describe the welfare conditions of cut flower farmer households and analyzed the effect of social capital on the welfare of cut flower farmers' households during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach conducted in Sidomulyo Village, Batu District, Batu City with consideration of the number of samples determined by Simple Random Sampling. Researchers set a sample size of 54 respondents who are cut flower farmers in Sidomulyo Village. Data was collected with the help of a questionnaire through structured interviews and field observations. Analysis of the data used in this study is descriptive analysis to determine the characteristics of respondents and multiple linear regression analysis was carried out to process and answer the first, second, and third objectives. The result of this study is that the social norm variable partially has a positive and significant effect on the welfare of cut flower farmers. The social network variable partially has a positive and significant effect on the welfare of cut flower farmers. The trust variable partially has no effect on the welfare of cut flower farmers. Based on the results of the F test, F count = 25.95 > F table = 2.79 and significance = 0.000 < = 0.05. So that the variables of social norms, social networks and trust together or simultaneously affect the welfare of cut flower farmers in Sidomulyo Village.
