Abstract

Penguatan kelembagaan pertanian seperti koperasi tani sangat penting terutama untuk meningkatkan produksi dan kesejahteraan petani. Pengembangan koperasi dengan konsep sosial bisnis dapat menguatkan posisi koperasi sebagai kelembagaan pertanian. Berdasarkan survey pendahuluan, didapatkan informasi bahwa KAN Jabung memiliki berbagai macam usaha bisnis dan kegiatan sosial serta meraih penghargaan CSR terbaik kategori Koperasi Produsen pada tahun 2017 dan Koperasi Skala Besar Nasional kategori IT Terbaik dan Asset Terbesar pada tahun 2021. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran sosial bisnis KAN Jabung dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani anggota. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah Kecamatan Jabung, Kabupaten Malang, yang dipilih secara purposive dengan pertimbangan bahwa KAN Jabung adalah satu-satunya koperasi di Kabupaten Malang yang mendapat penghargaan CSR terbaik sebagai koperasi produsen dan merupakan kelembagaan utama bagi masyarakat petani Kecamatan Jabung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui proses wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipan dan dokumentasi arsip dengan metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif Miles dan Huberman. Penentuan informan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive dan snowball untuk mendapatkan informasi secara detail dan menyeluruh, sehingga diperoleh informan sebanyak 17 petani anggota, 1 kepala unit pertanian, 1 humas internal organisasi, dan 2 penanggung jawab kegiatan sosial dan bisnis KAN Jabung. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KAN Jabung memiliki enam, program sosial yaitu program peningkatan ekonomi anggota, program peningkatan skala usaha anggota, program pembangunan infrastruktur, program kesehatan, program sosial keagamaan, dan program pendidikan. Untuk menunjang kegiatan sosial tersebut KAN Jabung mendirikan usaha diberbagai bidang yaitu enam bisnis yang dikelola sendiri yang terdiri dari bisnis sapi perah, bisnis BMT, bisnis sapronak, bisnis angkutan, bisnis pertanian, dan bisnis susu olahan serta tiga bisnis entitas mandiri (PT) yaitu BPRS, PT. Jar dan bisnis kolaborasi. Kegiatan sosial bisnis yang dikelola oleh KAN Jabung tersebut telah menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan koperasi dengan konsep sosial bisnis tidak hanya mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani anggota tetapi juga mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat Kecamatan Jabung, Kabupaten Malang.

English Abstract

Strengthening agricultural institutions such as farmer cooperatives is very important, especially in increasing production and farmers' welfare. The development of cooperatives with the concept of social business can strengthen the position of cooperatives as agricultural institutions. Based on the preliminary survey, information was obtained that KAN Jabung has various kinds of business ventures and social activities and won the best CSR award for the Producer Cooperative category in 2017 and the National Large-Scale Cooperative for the Best IT category and the Largest Asset in 2021. Therefore, this research is important This study was conducted to determine the role of KAN Jabung's social business in improving the welfare of member farmers. The research was conducted in the Jabung District, Malang Regency, which was chosen purposively with the consideration that KAN Jabung is the only cooperative in Malang Regency that received the best CSR award as a producer cooperative and is the main institution for the farming community of Jabung District. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observations and archival documentation with the analytical method used was Miles and Huberman's qualitative analysis. Determination of informants in this study using purposive and snowball methods to obtain detailed and comprehensive information, so that 17 member farmers were obtained, 1 head of agricultural unit, 1 internal public relations organization, and 2 people in charge of social and business activities of KAN Jabung. The results of the research show that KAN Jabung has six social programs, namely the program to improve the member's economy, the program to increase the business scale of members, the infrastructure development program, the health program, the socio-religious program, and the education program. To support these social activities, KAN Jabung has established businesses in various fields, namely six self-managed businesses consisting of a dairy cattle business, a BMT business, a sapronak business, a transportation business, an agricultural business, and a processed milk business as well as three independent business entities (PT), namely BPRS, PT. Jar and business collaboration. The social business activity as managed by KAN Jabung has shown that the development of cooperatives with the concept of social business is not only able to improve the welfare of member farmers but is also able to improve the welfare of the people of Jabung District, Malang Regency.
