Abstract
Besarnya pendapatan yang diterima petani melalui kegiatan usaha taninya di tentukan oleh perilaku petani itu sendiri dalam hal jenis usahatani serta mempengaruhi faktor-faktor produksi seefektif dan seefisien mungkin. Pendapatan petani secara tidak langsung dipengaruhi oleh keadaan iklim masingmasing daerah, namun juga dipengaruhi oleh harga produk yang bersangkutan. Peningkatan pendapatan di sektor pertanian perlu mendapat perhatian oleh pemerintah karena pada umumnya penduduk Indonesia menggantungkan hidupnya dari usaha pertanian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Menganalisis biaya, penerimaan dan pendapatan usahatani wortel; 2) Menganalisis kelayakan dan efisiensi usahatani wortel. Pendekatan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Lokasi penelitian dipilih secara sengaja (Purposive) yaitu di Desa Ngabab Kecamatan Pujon Kabupaten Malang pada bulan Juni 2020. Penentuan responden menggunakan probability sample yaitu pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kesengajaan. Pemilihan subjek didasarkan atas ciri atau sifat tertentu yang dipandang mempunyai sangkut-paut yang erat dengan ciri atau sifat populasi yang sudah diketahui sebelumnya dan populasi di Desa Ngabab mendapatkan kemungkinan dan kesempatan yang sama yaitu sebanyak 40 orang. Analisis yang dilakukan yaitu analisis biaya produksi, analisis penerimaan, pendapatan, R/C rasio, titik impas dan analisis efisiensi. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa kegiatan usahatani di Desa Ngabab Kecamatan Pujon sudah layak karena R/C rasio sudah lebih dari 1 yang artinya jumlah penerimaan yang didapat lebih besar dari biaya yang dikeluarkan. Namun untuk tingkat efisiensinya usahatani yang dilakukan oleh petani di lokasi penelitian belum dapat dikatakan efisiensi. Hal ini karena dalam mengoptimalkan suatu input kurang baik. Seperti untuk pupuk organic mereka masih membeli, padahal mereka juga berternak yang artinya mereka dapat memanfaatkan kotoran ternak tersebut untuk pupuk organic. Selain itu mereka masih menggunakan tenaga kerja yang sudah tua, sehingga kegiatan usahataninya membutuhkan tenaga kerja yang banyak karena tenaga kerja yang tua tingkat kekuatannya sudah menurun. Saran yang dapat diberikan berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini yaitu diharapkan petani agar dapat lebih memperhatikan usahatani wortelnya terutama pada manajemen usahataninya, sehingga diharapkan usahatani wortel di Desa Ngabab tersebut lebih efektif dan efisien. Karena dengan manajemen yang tepat diharapkan dapat meningkatkan penerimaan dan lebih meminimalkan biaya yang dikeluarkan sehingga dapat diperoleh pendapatan yang lebih optimal. Untuk itu diharapkan petani lebih aktif dalam mengkaji informasi mengenai usahatani wortel terutama pada manajemen usahatani untuk dapat mengelolah usahatani wortel tersebut dengan efektif dan efisien.
English Abstract
The amount of income received by farmers through their farming activities is determined by the behavior of the farmers themselves in terms of the type of farming as well as influencing production factors as effectively and efficiently as possible. Farmer's income is indirectly influenced by the climatic conditions of each region, but is also influenced by the price of the product concerned. Increasing income in the agricultural sector needs attention by the government because in general the Indonesian population depends on agriculture for their livelihood. The aims of this research are 1) to analyze the costs, revenues and income of carrot farming; 2) Analyzing the feasibility and efficiency of carrot farming. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The research location was chosen purposively, namely in Ngabab Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency in June 2020. Determination of respondents using purposive sampling, namely sampling based on intentional. The selection of subjects was based on certain characteristics or traits that were deemed to have a close relationship with the previously known characteristics or characteristics of the population and the population in Ngabab Village had the same possibilities and opportunities, namely 40 people. The analysis carried out is analysis of production costs, analysis of revenue, income, R/C ratio, break-even point and efficiency analysis. The results of this study found that farming activities in Ngabab Village, Pujon District were feasible because the R/C ratio was more than 1, which means the amount of revenue earned is greater than the costs incurred. However, for the efficiency level of farming carried out by farmers in the research location, it cannot be said to be efficient. This is because optimizing an input is not good. As for organic fertilizer, they still buy, even though they also raise livestock, which means they can use the manure for organic fertilizer. In addition, they still use old workers, so their farming activities require a lot of manpower because the level of strength of the old workforce has decreased. Suggestions that can be given based on the results of this study are that farmers are expected to pay more attention to their carrot farming, especially on farm management, so that it is hoped that carrot farming in Ngabab Village will be more effective and efficient. Because with proper management, it is expected to increase revenue and further minimize costs incurred so that more optimal income can be obtained. For this reason, farmers are expected to be more active in reviewing information about carrot farming, especially on farm management to be able to manage the carrot farming effectively and efficiently.
