Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai strategi bertahan hidup para petani di Desa Bocek Kecamatan Karangploso Kabupaten Malang melalui pelaksanaan kegiatan kelompok tani Teguh Subur. Penelitian di lakukan di Desa Bocek sebuah wilayah pedesaan di Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur. Kegiatan kelompok tani di manfaatkan oleh kelompok anggotanya untuk mengatasi masalah bersama yakni mengenai kesulitan tenaga kerja, pembibitan, pupuk dan obat-obatan pembasmi hama serta dapat di manfaatkan untuk menambah hasil pertanian tiap anggota yang tegabung dalam kelompok tani. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang lebih mengarah ke sebuah proses, dan tidak harus diteliti secara terstruktur. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan teori Scott tentang pola stategi bertahan hidup dalam pertanian. Strategi bertahan hidup dipilih karena kelompok anggota tani menggerakan sebuah energy melalui kepercayaan yang dibangun serta adanya pertisipasi masyarakat di dalam jaringan, yang mana strategi bertahan hidup tersebut di gunakan untuk melanggengkan keberlangsungan kegiatan musyawarah kelompok tani dari dulu seiring berkembangnya zaman saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan jika kelompok anggota tani Teguh Subur terus berupaya dalam meningkatkan hasil pertanian di desa tersebut. Kegiatan musyawarah bersifat terbuka agar masyarakat mampu dan mudah mengakses informasi demi mencapai solusi atau cara mengatasi kegagalan panen atau hasil yang minim. Hasil penelitian juga memperlihatkan jika kondisipertanian turut mempengaruhi perkembangan kegiatan kelompok tani. Kegiatan musyawarah dapat memepengaruhi kehidupan sosial masyarakat sehari-hariya. Jika kegiatan musyawarah berjalan dengan baik, maka dapat memepererat rasa persaudaraan di dalam kelompok. Dengan demikian maka anggota musyawarah memiliki daya atau kekuatan yang harus terus dikembangkan agar kegiatan musyawarah dapat berjalan sesuai dengan kepentingan dan tujuan bersama.
English Abstract
This study discusses the survival strategies of farmers in Bocek Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency through the implementation of Teguh Subur farmer group activities. The study was conducted in the village of Bocek, a rural area in Malang, East Java. Farmer group activities are utilized by their group members to overcome common problems namely concerning labor difficulties, nurseries, fertilizers and pesticide medicines and can be utilized to increase the agricultural output of each member who is a member of the farmer group. This study uses qualitative methods that are more directed to a process, and do not have to be studied in a structured manner, and qualitative research is also viewed in terms of quality, intensity, and frequency. The study also discusses the survival strategy of farmer groups incorporated in Teguh Subur farmer groups used as a theoretical foundation. The survival strategy was chosen because the farmer group members mobilized an energy through trust that was built as well as community participation in the network, which survival strategy was used to perpetuate the continuation of farmer group deliberations from the past along with the development of the current era. The results showed that the farmer group members Teguh Subur continued to strive to improve agricultural output in the village. Deliberation activities are open so that people are able and easy to access information in order to achieve solutions or ways to overcome crop failures or minimal yields. The results also showed that the condition of agriculture also influenced the development of farmer group activities. Deliberation activities can affect the daily social life of the community. If the deliberation activities go well, it can strengthen the sense of brotherhood within the group. Thus, the members of the deliberation have the power or strength that must continue to be developed so that the deliberations can run according to their shared interests and goals.
