Abstract
Madura menjadi wacana yang dianggap berwibawa dalam menggambarkan Madura. Historisitas ekologi pertanian adalah argumen utama dalam buku ini. Kontur ekologis pertanian turut membentuk struktur sosial sebagian besar masyarakat Madura. Tersebarnya ruang arsitektur hunian antara dusun yang satu dengan dusun lainnya membentuk jarak sosial di dalamnya. Terbatasnya jumlah lahan pertanian dan persawahan yang tidak sebanding dengan pertambahan penduduk mendorong migrasi ke luar Madura, seperti Jawa. Kuntowijoyo menulis karya tersebut berdasarkan kajian kearsipan Kolonial Belanda dengan metodologi 'sejarah multi fungsi'. Membandingkan Madura dengan Jawa, Kuntowijoyo menempatkan Madura sebagai bagian dari Jawa; geografi, budaya dan sejarah. Tesis ini hadir untuk mengoreksi argumentasi Kuntowijoyo tentang Madura dalam karyanya tentang Madura. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam makalah ini adalah Mnemohistory and Hermeneutic Studies. Teori yang digunakan adalah memori kolektif dan hermeneutik ganda. Penggunaan metodologi dan teori tersebut bertujuan untuk mengkaji baik secara tekstual maupun kontekstual karya Kuntowijoyo yang tidak terlepas dari latar belakang intelektual Kuntowijoyo. Selain itu, teori dan metodologi yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini memberikan peluang untuk melibatkan 'kenangan kolektif' sebagai salah satu monumen sejarah tentang Madura. Ingatan dan ingatan sebagian besar orang yang melintas 'saya' tentang Madura dibakukan ke dalam teks untuk memberikan gambaran tentang argumen-argumen kunci Kuntowijoyo tentang Madura, sementara pada saat yang sama karya Kuntowijoyo memberikan stimulus bagi ingatan beberapa peristiwa sejarah tentang Madura. English Abstract
Madura becomes a discourse that is considered authoritative in describing Madura. The historicity of farm ecology is the main argument in the book. The ecological contours of farm helped to shape the social structure of most Madurese people. The scattered residential architectural space between one hamlet and another forms a social distance within it. The limited number of farm and rice field that are not proportional to the enhancement population encourages migration to areas outside Madura, such as Java. Kuntowijoyo wrote the work based on the Dutch Colonial archival study with the methodology of 'multi-functional history'. Comparing Madura with Java, Kuntowijoyo put Madura as part of Java; geography, culture and historicity. This thesis presents to correct Kuntowijoyo's argument regarding Madura on his work about Madura. The methodology used in this paper is Mnemohistory and Hermeneutic Studies. The theory used is collective memory and double-hermeneutic. The use of such methodology and theory aims to examine both textually and contextually the work of Kuntowijoyo that can not be separated from Kuntowijoyo's intellectual background. In addition, the theory and methodology used in this paper provide an opportunity to involve 'collective memory' presents as one of the historical monuments about Madura. Most people's memories and memories that crossed 'me' about Madura are standardized into the text to provide an overview of Kuntowijoyo's key arguments about Madura, while at the same time Kuntowijoyo's work provided a stimulus for memories of several historical events about Madura. Both are running parallel.
