Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengeksplorasi klasifikasi sumberdaya operasi dan permintaan pasar (market requirements) pada upaya rekonsiliasi strategis (keselarasan berkelanjutan) Universitas Airlangga menuju peringkat Top 500 World Class University. Paradigma penelitian ini adalah postpositivist dengan setting penelitian berada di Universitas Airlangga Surabaya. Alasan pemilihan pendekatan kualitatif single case study adalah keunikan dan kekhasan kategori sumberdaya operasi dan permintaan pasar (market requirements) pada upaya rekonsiliasi strategis (keselarasan berkelanjutan) Universitas Airlangga menuju peringkat Top 500 World Class University. Analisis data kualitatif menggunakan interactive model yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman dan mengkombinasikan dengan prosedur analisis data yang disajikan oleh Cresswell. Temuan penelitian adalah upaya rekonsiliasi strategis Universitas Airlangga menuju peringkat Top 500 World Class University dicerminkan oleh kategori sumberdaya operasi yang terdiri dari budaya akademis, sumberdaya manusia, sarana dan prasarana, reputasi, networking, kapabilitas, teknologi informasi dan anggaran, serta kategori market requirements yang terdiri dari kualitas output, kompetitor, market position dan ikatan alumni.

English Abstract

This study aims to identify and explore the classification of operating resources and market requirements in the effort of strategic reconciliation (continuous alignment) of Airlangga University towards the Top 500 World Class University ranking. The paradigm of this research is the postpositivist with the research setting being at Airlangga University, Surabaya. The reason for choosing a single case study qualitative approach is the uniqueness and distinctiveness of the classification of operating resources and market requirements in the effort of strategic reconciliation (continuous alignment) of Airlangga University towards the Top 500 World Class University ranking. Qualitative data analysis uses the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman and combines it with the data analysis procedures presented by Cresswell. The findings of the research is the strategic reconciliation efforts of Airlangga University towards the Top 500 World Class University ranking, which is reflected by the classification of operating resources consisting of academic culture, human resources, facilities and infrastructure, reputation, networking, capabilities, information technology and budget, and then market requirements classification comprising from the quality of outputs, competitors, market positions and alumni ties.
