Abstract
Air merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh makhluk hidup guna menunjang berlangsungnya kehidupan di muka bumi. Sungai Wendit adalah salah satu sungai yang berlokasi di Desa Magliawan, Kecamatan Pakis, Kabupaten Malang. Hulu Sungai Wendit yang merupakan sumber air menyuplai sebesar 70% untuk kebutuhan PDAM Kota Malang dan sisanya untuk kebutuhan penduduk sekitar. Semakin berkembangnya suatu daerah dapat menurunkan kuantitas dan kualitas air. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya analisis terhadap kualitas air dan analisis terhadap daya tampung beban pencemar Sungai Wendit. Adanya analisis daya tampung beban pencemar ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Sungai Wendit masih mampu untuk menerima masukan limbah tanpa menyebabkan air pada Sungai Wendit tercemar. Parameter yang digunakan oleh peniliti antara lain adalah BOD (Biologycal Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), DO (Dissolved Oxygen), TSS (Total Suspended Solid), pH (Derajat Keasaman), suhu, dan deterjen. Hasil dari analisis ini nantinya akan dibandingkan dengan baku mutu menurut Peraturan Pemerintah No 82 Tahun vii 2001 sebagai bentuk analisis kualitas air yang dilakukan oleh peneliti. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel adalah dengan metode Grab sample. Di mana dalam pengambilan sampel menggunakan 4 titik lokasi pengamatan yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Sungai Wendit termasuk ke dalam golongan sungai tercemar ringan.Berdasarkan parameter BOD (Biologycal Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), DO (Dissolved Oxygen), TSS (Total Suspended Solid), pH (Derajat Keasaman), suhu, dan detergen, secara keseluruhan hanya parameter BOD yang telah melebihi baku mutu air sungai kelas III sehingga saat ini Sungai Wendit sudah tidak dapat menampung beban pencemar untuk parameter BOD.
English Abstract
Water is one of the natural resources that are needed by living things in order to support the continuity of life in the face of the earth. Wendit River is one of the rivers located in the Village of Magliawan, Kecamatan Pakis, Kabupaten Malang. Upstream Wendit River is the source of water that supply by 70% for the needs of PDAM Malang City and the rest to the needs of the surrounding population. The development of an area can decrease the quantity and quality of water. Hence the need for the analysis of water quality and analysis of the load capacity of the polluters of the Wendit River. The analysis of load capacity of the pollutant is aimed to know whether the Wendit River still able to receive the input waste without causing the water in the Wendit River polluted. The parameters used by the researchers, among others, are BOD (Biologycal Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), DO (Dissolved Oxygen), TSS (Total Suspended Solid), pH (Degree of Acidity), Temperature, and Detergents. The results of this analysis will be compared with the raw quality according to Government Regulation No. 82 Year 2001 as a form of water quality analysis conducted by the ix researchers. The method used for sampling is the method Grab sample. Where in the sampling using 5 different locations. The results showed that the Wendit River was included in the category of lightly polluted rivers. Based on the parameters BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), DO (Dissolved Oxygen), TSS (Total Suspended Solid), pH (Degree of Acidity), temperature, and overall pH determination, only BOD parameters that exceed water quality standards class III river so that currently the Wendit River can no longer accommodate the pollutant load for the BOD parameter. The results showed that the Wendit River was classified as a lightly polluted river. Based on the parameters BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), DO (Dissolved Oxygen), TSS (Total Suspended Solid), pH, temperature and detergent, only the BOD parameter has exceeded the class III river water quality standard so that currently the Wendit River can no longer accommodate the pollutant load for the BOD parameter.
