Abstract

Kurangnya dukungan sarana dan prasarana, sosialisasi yang belum begitu gencar, serta pengaruh dari orang-orang sekitar merupakan beberapa penyebab berkurangnya pemanfaatan sistem informasi yang ada di perpustakaan, sehingga hal ini berdampak pada menurunnya kegiatan informasi yang ada di perpustaaan. Agar literasi informasi dapat berjalan dengan baik dan mengalami peningkatan, maka sistem informasi yang dipergunakan juga harus dapat diterima dan dipergunakan dengan baik oleh para penggunanya. Dengan adanya penggunaan teknologi informasi ini, maka diharapkan dapat lebih membantu memudahkan kegiatan literasi informasi di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Dengan menggunakan teori UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology), maka diharapkan dapat diketahui seberapa besar pengaruh pemanfaatan sistem informasi terhadap kegiatan literasi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pemanfaatan sistem informasi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi terhadap literasi informasi yang hasilnya dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan sistem informasi Perpustakaan UB dan untuk mengatasi permasalahan-permasalahan yang terjadi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode nonprobability sampling, dengan teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah judgement sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu menggunakan metode survei dengan instrumen kuesioner. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan sistem informasi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi sangat berpengaruh terhadap literasi informasi. Namun pengguna perpustakaan masih belum begitu percaya bahwa dengan menggunakan sistem informasi perpustakaan akan dapat membantu pengguna perpustakaan, sehingga pengguna perpustakaan cenderung tidak berminat memanfaatkannya untuk kegiatan literasi. Pengguna perpustakaan merasakan kemudahan dalam menggunakan sistem informasi perpustakaan yang dapat mendorong kecenderungan minat pengguna perpustakaan dalam memanfaatkannya untuk kegiatan literasi. Pengaruh dari orang lain baik itu dari dosen maupun dari teman-teman kuliah belum mampu mempengaruhi pengguna perpustakaan untuk menggunakan sistem informasi perpustakaan. Pengguna perpustakaan percaya bahwa sarana dan prasarana yang tersedia dapat mendorong kecenderungan minat pengguna perpustakaan dalam memanfaatkannya untuk kegiatan literasi. Ketidakyakinan pengguna perpustakaan akan kegunaan sistem informasi perpustakaan menyebabkan perilaku pengguna perpustakaan dalam memanfaatkan sistem informasi perpustakaan tidak memanfaatkannya untuk kegiatan literasi.

English Abstract

Lack of support for facilities and infrastructure, socialization that has not been so intense, and the influence of surrounding people are some of the causes of the reduced use of information systems in the library, so that this has an impact on the decline in information activities in the library. So that information literacy can run well and experience improvement, the information system used must also be accepted and used properly by its users. With the use of this information technology, it is hoped that it can help facilitate information literacy activities in the college library. By using the UTAUT theory (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology), it is expected to know how much influence the use of information systems on information literacy activities. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the use of university library information systems on information literacy, the results of which can be used for the development of UB Library information systems and to overcome problems that occur. The research method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The sampling method used is the nonprobability sampling method, with the sampling technique used is judgment sampling. Data collection techniques used by researchers are using survey methods with questionnaire instruments. The results of the research show that the use of the university library information system is very influential in information literacy. But library users still don't really believe that using a library information system will be able to help library users, so library users tend not to be interested in using it for literacy activities. Library users feel the ease of using library information systems that can encourage the tendency of interest in library users to use it for literacy activities. The influence of other people both from lecturers and from classmates has not been able to influence library users to use the library information system. Library users believe that the available facilities and infrastructure can encourage the tendency of interest in library users to use it for literacy activities; The uncertainty of library users about the usefulness of library information systems causes the behavior of library users in utilizing library information systems not to use it for literacy activities.
