Abstract

"Sektor perdagangan merupakan salah satu sektor penggerak terbesar perekonomian dan salah satu sektor yang memiliki kontribusi terbesar terhadap produk domestik bruto (PDB) di Indonesia. Namun adanya pandemi Covid-19 mengakibatkan sektor perdagangan mengalami permasalahan dalam pertumbuhannya. Menurut BPS, sektor ini merupakan salah satu sektor riil yang paling terdampak akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19, di mana hal tersebut diakibatkan oleh terjadinya penurunan pada sisi demand side dikarenakan adanya karantina wilayah atau lockdown yang menyebabkan sulitnya keluar masuk barang antar negara sehingga terjadinya penurunan transaksi ekspor dan impor. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kinerja keuangan pada saat dan sebelum adanya pandemi Covid-19 pada perusahaan sektor perdagangan, jasa, dan investasi yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data dengan pendekatan komparatif kuantitatif. Variabel pada penelitian ini meliputi Current Ratio (CR), Quick Ratio (QR), Cash Ratio (CR), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), dan Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR). Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam pengujian hipotesis adalah uji Paired Sample T-Test dan Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test pada program SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada Net Profit Margin (NPM), Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Return on Equity (ROE), dan Return on Assets (ROA) sebelum dan saat adanya pandemi Covid-19."

English Abstract

The trade sector is one of the sectors that have the largest contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Indonesia. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the trade sector to experience problems in its growth. According to BPS, this sector is one of the real sectors that has been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s happened due to a decrease on the demand side because of the regional quarantine or lockdown which made it difficult for products to enter the countries, resulting in a decrease in export and import transactions. The main purpose of this study is to find out whether there are significant differences in financial performance during and before the Covid-19 pandemic in trading, service, and investment sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This research uses the comparaive study method as a data collection technique with a quantitative descriptive approach. The variables in this study include Current Ratio (CR), Quick Ratio (QR), Cash Ratio (CR), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Gross Profit Margin (GPM), Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Debt to Assets Ratio (DAR).
