Abstract
Pekerja Migran Indonesia atau PMI adalah warga negara Indonesia yang akan, sedang atau telah melakukan pekerjaan dengan menerima upah di luar wilayah Republik Indonesia (dikutip dari BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.go.id 2020). Jumlah pekerja migran yang tinggi memberikan berbagai dampak, baik positif maupun negatif. Dampak positifnya terdapat peningkatan devisa bagi Negara serta kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga migran. Dampak negative juga muncul terkait jumlah perceraian bagi migran meningkat, anak broken home ataupun terlibat oleh kenakalan remaja. Desa Purwodadi Kecamatan Donomulyo Kabupaten Malang terdapat pula beragam dinamika berkaitan dengan keluarga pekerja migran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelisik dinamika terkait APM, mendeskripsikan pengasuhan yang dilakukan kerabat serta timbal balik yang mereka berikan atas pengasuhan. Penelitian ini memilih lokasi fokus di Dusun Sidorejo, Desa Purwodadi, Kecamatan Donomulyo. Dikarenakan muncul beragam dinamika terkait APM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan wawancara. Informan yang dipilih merupakan dua keluarga pekerja migran yang melibatka peran kerabat yaitu nenek. Kemudian pendiri dan relawan program peduli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nenek memegang peran paling penting terhadap urusan domestik keluarga pekerja migran serta pengasuhan anak. Nenek memberikan pengasuhan yang telihat dalam bentuk care. Pemberian tersebut tergolong dalam free gift. Kemudian para orang tua memberikan timbal balik berupa balas budi ataupun materi. Relasi terbentuk sehingga hubungan timbal balik terusmenerus dilakukan dan mewujudkan resiprositas.
English Abstract
Indonesian Migrant Workers are Indonesian citizens who will be, are currently or have done work by receiving wages outside the territory of the Republic of Indonesia (quoted from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.go.id 2020). The high number of migrant workers has various impacts, both positive and negative. The positive impact is an increase in foreign exchange for the country as well as the economic welfare of migrant families. Negative impacts also arise related to the increasing number of divorces for migrants, children from broken homes or being involved in juvenile delinquency. In Purwodadi Village, Donomulyo District, Malang Regency, there are also various dynamics related to migrant worker families. Therefore, this study aims to examine the dynamics related to APM, to describe the care that relatives provide and the reciprocity they provide for parenting. This study chose a focus location in Sidorejo Hamlet, Purwodadi Village, Donomulyo District. Due to the emergence of various dynamics related to APM. This study uses ethnographic methods with observation and interview data collection techniques. The selected informants are two families of migrant workers who involve the role of relatives, namely grandmothers. Then the founders and volunteers of the caring program. The results showed that grandmothers played the most important role in the domestic affairs of migrant workers' families as well as child care. Grandmother provides care that is seen in the form of care. The gift is classified as a free gift. Then the parents give reciprocity in the form of reciprocation or material. Relationships are formed so that reciprocal relationships are continuously carried out and create reciprocity
