Abstract

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris terkait kinerja keuangan bank ditinjau dari analisis CAMEL dan untuk memperoleh wawasan serta pemahaman terkait strategi yang diterapkan bank agar dapat mempertahankan kinerja keuangannya di masa pandemi Covid-19. Objek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan sub sektor perbankan BUMN yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama triwulan 2 tahun 2020 sampai triwulan 1 tahun 2021. Berdasarkan metode purposive sampling diperoleh 4 perusahaan sampel. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan sumber data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode dokumentasi berupa laporan keuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja keuangan yang ditinjau dari analisis capital (permodalan), asset quality (kualitas aset), management (manajemen), earning (rentabilitas) dan liquidity (likuiditas) pada Bank BUMN di masa pandemi Covid-19 termasuk dalam kategori cukup sehat. Kemampuan bank dalam mempertahankan kinerja keuangannya didukung oleh adanya stimulus dan kebijakan yang dikeluarkan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia bersama Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, Kementerian Keuangan, Bank Indonesia, dan Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan melalui POJK No.11/POJK.03/2020 tentang Stimulus Perekonomian Nasional sebagai Kebijakan Countercyclical Dampak Penyebaran Covid-19 dan Undang-Undang No. 2 Tahun 2020 tentang Kebijakan Keuangan Negara dan Stabilitas Sistem Keuangan untuk Penanganan Pandemi Covid-19 dalam Rangka Menghadapi Ancaman yang Membahayakan Perekonomian Nasional.

English Abstract

This study aims to empirically examine the financial performance analyzed by CAMEL to reveal the banks’ strategies to maintain their financial performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. The objects of the study are State-Owned Banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between the 2nd quarter of 2020 and the 1st quarter of 2021. The samples include 4 companies of State-Owned Banks selected through purposive sampling method. This study applies quantitative approach utilizing secondary data sources, in which the data are gathered from the documentation of the companies’ financial statements. The study results indicate that the companies’ financial performance measured from their capital analysis, asset quality, management, earnings and liquidity during the Covid-19 pandemic are categorized as fairly healthy. The companies’ capacity to maintain their financial performance is reinforced by the stimuli and policies of the Indonesian Government through the Financial Services Authority, the Ministry of Finance, Bank of Indonesia, and the Deposit Insurance Corporation through POJK No.11 / POJK.03 / 2020 about National Economic Stimulus as a Countercyclical Policy of the Covid-19 Spread Impact, and Law No. 2 of 2020 about State Financial Policy and Financial System Stability for Handling the Covid-19 Pandemic in the Context of Facing Threats towards the National Economy.
