Abstract

Hidroponik merupakan metode pertanian yang memperhatikan waktu penyinaran tanaman dan pemberian jumlah nutrisi sesuai dengan kebutuhan tanamannya. Namun, pertanian dengan metode hidroponik di dalam ruangan tidak mendapatkan sinar matahari secara langsung, sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman. Selain itu, tanaman juga membutuhkan jumlah nutrisi yang tepat agar dapat tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal. Penulis merancang sebuah alat yang dapat memberikan pencahayaan dan jumlah nutrisi berdasarkan parameter yang diukur dengan sensor. Dalam pemberian pencahayaan, digunakan RTC sebagai parameter waktu yang menentukan nyala atau matinya grow light, sehingga pencahayaan tanaman dapat terjadwal. Sedangkan, dalam pemberian nutrisi dilakukan pengukuran nilai pH air, total padatan terlarut dalam air, potensial redoks air, ketinggian air, dan suhu air menggunakan sensor. Hasil pengukuran tersebut akan menjadi dasar dalam menyalakan atau mematikan pompa air dan solenoid valve. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat ini dapat bekerja sesuai rancangan perangkat keras. Dibuktikan dengan data pengujian karakteristik maupun pembacaan sensor yang bekerja dengan baik. Selain itu, aktuator yang digunakan juga dapat bekerja berdasarkan perintah dari mikroprosesor ATmega328 melalui rangkaian driver yang terdiri dari rangkaian transistor BC547 dan relay 5 volt.

English Abstract

Hydroponics is one of the agricultural methods that is currently being widely applied by the community. In practice, farming using the hydroponic method can be done outdoors or indoors by always paying attention to the time of irradiating the plant and providing the right amount of nutrients according to the needs of the plant. However, the problem with plants grown using the indoor hydroponic method is that they do not get direct sunlight, which can affect plant growth and development. Besides, plants also need the right amount of nutrients in order to grow and develop optimally. Because of these problems, it is necessary to use technology in the form of devices to ensure the provision of lighting and the right amount of nutrients automatically to ease human work. Device designed must be able to provide lighting and the amount of plant nutrients in a timely manner and according to needs, so that these plants can grow and develop properly and optimally. The author designed a device that can provide lighting and the amount of nutrients, based on the parameters, measured using sensors. In providing lighting, RTC is used as a time parameter that determines whether the grow light turns on or off, so that plant lighting can be scheduled properly and regularly. Meanwhile, in providing nutrition, parameters are measured by various types of sensors which include the pH value of water, total dissolved solids in water, water redox potential, water level, and water temperature. The measurement results by these sensors will be processed by the ATmega328 microprocessor and become the basis for turning on or off the actuators used, in this case in the form of grow lights, water pumps, and solenoid valves. The test results show that this device can work according to the hardware design, proven by the characteristics and sensor readings test data which shows that the sensors on this device works well. In addition, the actuators used in this device can also work on orders from the ATmega328 microprocessor through a driver circuit consisting of a BC547 transistor circuit and a 5 volt relay.
