Abstract

Mesin cuci menerapkan beberapa langkah untuk mencapai hasil kebersihan yang diinginkan yaitu mengisi dan mencampur air, mencuci dan mengucek, pembilasan, berputar untuk memeras pakaian, dan mengeringkan, proses inilah yang dinamakan full cycle. Penerapan sistem kontrol dalam proses full cycle digunakan kontrol sekuensial yang pada umumnya menggunakan PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Pada penelitian, kontrol sekuensial akan diprogram kedalam mikrokontroler. Mikrokontroler adalah sebuah sistem komputer fungsional dalam sebuah chip. Di dalamnya terkandung sebuah inti prosesor, memori (sejumlah kecil RAM, memori program, atau keduanya), dan perlengkapan input-output. Sistem kontrol sekuensial pada mesin cuci otomatis dirancang dengan menggunakan conditional control yaitu sistem melaksanakan urutan berikutnya jika kondisi yang ditentukan sebelumnya terpenuhi pada tiap tahap pencucian, dan time schedule control yang merupakan sistem melaksanakan urutan berikutnya jika telah mencapai waktu yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini menerapkan 3 pengujian sesuai dengan mode mesin cuci yang terprogram dengan hasil : pengujian ketiga mode yang telah dirancang yaitu Mode Katun/Jeans, Mode Halus, dan Mode Kain Putih pengujian berjalan dengan sesuai program yang telah dibuat dengan total waktu 114 menit untuk Mode Katun/Jeans, 57 menit untuk Mode Halus, 151 menit untuk Mode Kain Putih dengan masing masing delay pertahap 1 detik.

English Abstract

The washing machine applies several steps to achieve the desired cleaning results, namely filling and mixing water, washing and rubbing, rinsing, spinning to spin clothes, and drying, this process is called a full cycle. The application of the control system in the full cycle process uses sequential control which generally uses PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Today, the industry has implemented a lot of sequential control using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) whose process and execution time on the actuator is relatively short, but the cost of the device itself is relatively expensive compared to new or used ones. In the research, sequential control will be programmed into the microcontroller. Microcontroller is a functional computer system on a chip. It contains a processor core, memory (a small amount of RAM, program memory, or both), and input-output equipment. The sequential control system on automatic washing machines is designed using conditional control, namely the system carries out the next sequence if the pre-determined conditions are met at each washing stage, and time schedule control, which is the system carries out the next sequence if it has reached the predetermined time. This study applies 3 tests according to the programmed washing machine mode with the results: the three modes that have been designed, namely Cotton/Jeans Mode, Smooth Mode, and White Fabric Mode, the test runs according to the program that has been made with a total time of 114 minutes for the Cotton/Jeans Mode, 57 minutes for Smooth Mode, 151 minutes for White Fabric Mode with each 1 second incremental delay.
